I know everyone is disappointed about the delay. Trust me it is worth as I have had a manual tonneau cover that was broken in shipping 6 weeks ago. I cant get a response from UPS on when they are going to pay for a new one. Wait for new packaging and hopefully you will not have to wait twice...
Ford's ICE vehicles are (NOT) so much more reliable. https://jalopnik.com/ford-has-the-most-recalls-so-far-in-2023-report-1850647308. 4.1 million recalled and counting. This is Ford's new slogan like the old McDonald's signs. My wife's Expedition is in the shop right now to repair a recalled...
I have been using a Lowe's builder grade NEMA 14-50 plug for 3 years charging a 2016 Nissan Leaf at a max of 28 amps but usually around 20 amps for overnight charging. When I picked up my Rivian, I realized I might be running my Juicebox charger at 40 amps for up to 10 hours. I was concerned...
Its the EA chargers. I have had this issue multiple times on several EA chargers. Now we have a RAN station in San Antonio 10 minutes from my house. Everyone that uses it even in 105 degree heat gets 200+ kW.
I stopped by this morning to charge up a bit on my way to the hardware store. I noticed a lot of trash in the landscaping last time I was there so I spent my charging time cleaning up around the station. Ended up with about half a bag of trash and a good pile of recycling. Would like to start a...
After almost 90 minutes I am at 18 percent complete. The note still says 65 minutes for install so I am wondering if that is after the preparing/downloading. I usually wait for the notification in my truck so I am wondering if that prep time is usually done in the background before the update...
I checked this morning and the site is now showing up on the in truck nav. Selected the the site and drove over to try charging with a preconditioned battery. Got 216 KW peak for about 10 minutes. Slowed down at 45% to 188 KW. All six units are CCS. Not sure if they will install the J-1772 units...
It is still showing as coming soon in Plugshare but hopefully that updates soon also. Not showing in the truck yet but I sent it to my truck from the app just now and the truck started preconditioning the battery.
I went by this afternoon and tried it out before it officially showed up in the app. It was fun to finally get to use a RAN charger. Plug in and charging starts. Simple as that.
I saw that an F150 lightning tried to charge yesterday and so I headed over to check it out. I am currently charging while the technicians are doing diagnostic checks. It should show up in the app soon.
Volta is now owned by Shell. They have two DCFC units in San Antonio that require payment and both have been down for over a month. I expect Shell will rebrand and change to a paid model on all of the Volta chargers. Hopefully it will improve reliability.
I had water leaking in around my passenger window when washing and rinsing with a regular hand sprayer on the end of a garden hose. I also noticed excesive wind noise from the passnger side and thought it was just me until my son was riding with me and rolled down the window. When he rolled it...
Thank you. Unfortunately that one is way out of my way from my house to anywhere I typically go. As of about a week ago, there is an EVgo station on the west side that is supposed to do 350 kw that I will try soon. The only reason I use the local fast chargers is in when I don’t have time to...
