I just completed a 1,750 mile trip from Texas, through Oklahoma, into Arkansas and back to Texas. I used 5 different EA stations, 3 Chargepoint stations (2 62.5 Kw and one 9.6 kw Level 2) and Tesla L2 station with a Lectron adapter overnight at a hotel. The only issues I had were due to thermal...
I just drove through Oklahoma and went out of my way to avoid Francis Energy chargers because of the poor reviews on Plug Share. I dont think it is just you.
This is a great spot for accessing IH-10 and the southwestern Hill Country area. Between camping, tubing, mountain biking, and hunting, this station has the potential to serve a lot of people. There is a good selection of restaurants and lots of places to drop a travel trailer while charging...
No difference in vampire drain for me today after .18 install. Down to around 2-3 miles per day after 2023.14 and replacement of my 12v batteries at th Austin SC.
I had a somewhat similar situation with many different error warnings over several weeks. I could reset the truck and the warnings would go away, initially for a week but then it worsened to where I was resetting my truck every time I drove. I took my truck in for service and both 12v batteries...
I have set 80% and 90% charging limits for different trips already so I am happy to have the flexibility. I regularly travel from San Antonio to the DCFC desert called Corpus Christi and I like to have the 5% extra when I get there in case any of the dealerships (only places with fast charging...
I have had a horrible experience with AA on several GM products but few problems on Ford and Nissan. I think the implementation of any system whether internal or with 3rd party is key and I am really getting used to the nav and Amazon Music in my R1T and love it. Just had to spend 10 hours total...
San Antonio's municipally owned electricity provider CPS has both solar https://www.cpsenergy.com/en/about-us/programs-services/energy-generation/solar-power.html and Wind https://www.cpsenergy.com/en/about-us/programs-services/energy-generation/wind/windtricity.html purchase programs. I don't...
I have been waiting for all of the supposed Timewise/Shell chargers to built. The one closest to my house is IH-10 at Ralph Fair Road which has been coming soon for over a year. Have heard that pad mount transformers can take 2 years so I am not holding my breath.
About 30 minutes and opposite of where I am headed to go north or northwest. Being the only EA station around it seems to break and get overloaded regularly. With more and more ID.4's with free charging being sold, I don't like the idea of driving 30 minutes to find out it is full.
I will be glad to have some kind of working 150 kW+ DCFC close to me especially if it is a reasonable price. I have had several occasions where I need to charge quickly to make an unexpected trip and I can only find 50 kW chargers.
I am still seeing about 2% per day in 55 F weather. Keeping it in the garage and locked to see if that forces the deep sleep. I turned of wifi and Bluetooth tonight just for fun to see if that made a difference.
Yep. Looks exactly the same way as the pictures I posted in December. At least it's now showing as under construction in Plug Share. Thanks for that Lizardo.
I would like to see a topper that clips in to the roof mounts, covers the glass and then angles up to provide a little more height in the back for taller equipment and bikes. If I were to build one I would integrate solar panels in the portion over the cab and figure out how to feed the...
I expect they have a limited number of crews that install the equipment but hire local companies for the site work. Probably won't see anything else at the site until the day the crew shows up to install everything which should only take a week or less. I am by that location regularly and will...
