  1. New Rivian R1T / R1S "Touch-Up" Paint - all factory OEM colors - from EV Sportline

How did this work for you? I have a similar chip but in Forest Green. By the way I found out that the chip was caused by a misalignment of the door which over time(12 + months) caused the paint to chip
  2. Panel adjustments service

Thanks for the input. I'll contact them today
  3. Panel adjustments service

So I never noticed or bothered to notice the extremely slight misalignment of the front passenger door on our '22 R1S, then a tiny paint chip appeared on the front outer edge of the door 14+ months into ownership. A very good team from the local body shop looked at it and determined that there...
  4. RIVN down 10%

Actually that's the company's entire float, RJ has a small fraction of the float, I don't think that he has ownership of even 5% of the company
  5. Rivian Trade In Estimator Launched

I haven't received a quote yet but my experience has been that all EV's show an outsized early depreciation because of the $7500 credit. My cost was $77450 for the LE R1S but my basis is really $70,000 because I received the tax credit. It's 20 mo old with 23K miles on it, if I get $58k from...
  6. EV use can be more expensive than gas

One recent service visit for my wife's Macan was $2850 and it was scheduled maintenance(4 year). Our Porsche dealer requires Porsche service for the warranty and they bill out mechanics at $300/hr. There's a huge variance in maintenance costs from vehicle to vehicle. Suffice it to say that in...
  7. Rivian NACS Adapters begin arriving!

Spot on indeed. They should have a certification process for 3rd party adapters and just let us all buy those at our discretion, and have them covered in the warranty.
  8. Rivian NACS Adapters begin arriving!

I'll be doing the same. I figured they'd be sending out a couple thousand per month but that's not going to happen
  9. Rivian NACS Adapters begin arriving!

Just wondering if it's worthwhile to forget about the Rivian adapter and just go with the A2Z. Without any communication from Rivian on this, I'm assuming it'll be at least 3-6 months before I get the adapter from them. VIN 26xx
  10. Arizona 21”Wheels and Tires for sale

    Ditto for me
  11. ⚡️ Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

Great point. It'll definitely loosen the congestion at many of the EA etc sites
  12. Massive decline in mileage

To your point, the more you drive EV's the more you learn the nuances of battery ranges. I've found my Rivian to be pretty similar to Model S and Leaf in how it handles certain conditions that negatively impact range. One thing for sure is that multiple trips per day really impact range...
  13. New R1S impressions from a Grand Cherokee owner (Long)

Awesome. Glad you like it so much. It's a great vehicle. Completely agree with your comment on the locking/unlocking- it makes no sense on such an innovative vehicle
  14. Doomed? 2.0

How much RIVN are you short?
  15. Tesla Model X Owner’s First Drive of an R1S: Disappointing Experience

Agree completely-different target markets. I drove 2 Model S for 10 years and you couldn't pay me to swap back to them after driving the R1S for 6 months. I never bothered with the X because I considered it a sedan. They can call cars SUVs but if you can't take it offroad it's not an SUV imo.
  16. There are people with R1Ses without any issues right?

Dec 22 with 6k. No issues. By far the best car I've owned. I have 2 friends with R1S with the same experience. However, they've never visited Forums. I'd expect that there are a lot of very content owners out there that don't visit the different forums
