I wouldn't sell your charger. I originally installed a J1772 back in 2011 for my Leaf and then charged my Teslas with it for 10 years. You'll put the $20 J1772 to NACS adapter on your charger and never think about it again
ok. thanks for that. good to know.
Yes, they do recommend removing the plate prior to car washes but gain, it's probably to cover their liability vs a real concern
not sure that I'm lucky rather than there are some unlucky purchasers out there. Perhaps the nature of forums makes it seem that the number of dissatisfied owners out there is a larger proportion of deliveries than in actuality. R1S vin is up to 13xxx now
Hey, with the Built Right plate holder does one really have to remove the lic plate for every car wash or is it just a precaution? It's not a big inconvenience but if folks have gotten by without removing it that would be good to hear.
wow. I've owned 10 cars in my life including 2 different Model S and the R1S is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. My friends that have them feel the same way. I can see that maybe a vehicle here or there doesn't meet expectations which is very unfortunate but the overall consensus it...
Definitely agree to keep the car above 15% or so when possilble.
I'm a little confused about the reluctance of so many to charge to 100%. One should avoid charging to 100% with regularity but I can't see how going to 100% a handful of times each year would make any difference to battery...
I agree. I will say that we don't know what the future will exactly hold. The Supercharger network is vastly superior to any other charging network. It's not even close. It's also a result of it being first and enjoying a period of 8 plus years where Tesla vehicles comprised over 90% of EV's in...
Completely agree. My hope is that a few months from now I'll have an adapter to utilize the SC network and have the ability to charge anywhere in the US where there is a CCS or NACS available
It's all good news. The more charging options for everyone the better. Adapters will be used by every EV owner. I always used one for my Tesla when needed. It's not inconvenient to simply use an adapter
How much public charging do drivers actually use? In my 10 years of Tesla ownership with unlimited Supercharging I think I still home charged for at least 95% of the charging
It will be adapters for all. That way Tesla can maximize the Government paybacks for charging infrastructure.
It sounds like you have the most expensively configured R1T and you're getting a resale value from the auction market. In high end vehicles I'd imagine the auction market is often $10k below party to party pricing. I'd like to see a database for the used R1T sales prices over the last 8 weeks...
Yeah, I guess if someone did pay the $87k, drove it 15k miles and traded it in they'd be out $20k but that's probably the case for 90pct of all new vehicles with a msrp over $85k
Wait, you're telling me that I can buy a used R1T for around $45k? Where? We'd be very interested in getting one at that price. I had no idea that the pricing was like that
