I think I just paid 120 to mount my new tires I bought via tirerack on my model Y.
If you were to spend 100 extra on tire rack you still have to find someone to mount them.
He’s saying he will put the R50s on the truck. I’m also debating. I have another 5-6 month before I have to decide. It lowers the truck 1” overall
The OEM is 32.8" compared 31.8".
So you would have 1" less of height. The price difference is 50$ less. So not really a huge cost savings.
The real question is will the tread wear be less? That would be a question for someone riding the defenders on the 20"s
Technically these would fit but you would ride 1" lower overall. If they are making a tire to fit a 21" wheel I don't know why they would upsize to 55.

Look like they are coming out with Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 275/55-21 that will come in end of July.
Saves me from having to go aftermarket wheels and tires.

If you were to be caught without the shell you would get a big fine. Think it reduces your cost by maybe 1/3. You also
