  1. 1,500 Mile towing roadtrip, detailed writeup. Luck was on our side!

Right now I’m using a River 2 Pro like this https://amzn.to/4eSEgA9 but I want to upgrade to the new Delta 3 Plus for the bigger inverter and solar input flexibility. https://amzn.to/3NaEDdd
  2. Tested 35" tires on the R1T - for offroading / overlanding

question for you guys running 285/65/20, does that size on your spare fit back into the compartment? The OEM size was a tight fit to begin with.
  3. Falken Wildpeak AT3W (285/65/20) installed

@OffRoad987 nice setup. Assuming you’re running the same tire on your spare. Did it fit back in the spare compartment? Seems like it would be a bit tight
  4. 1,500 Mile towing roadtrip, detailed writeup. Luck was on our side!

I know, can't believe how lucky we got. Especially during summer in very popular areas of California. Yeah, he has his windows tinted so he had the window rolled down to see better as he was backing into the spot so he didn't back into a picnic table. The bear was gone in the morning but left a...
  5. 1,500 Mile towing roadtrip, detailed writeup. Luck was on our side!

I know it! I had a 3rd gen taco with the 3.5, then the 4Runner. Those trucks really needed the new iForce powertrains and probably more importantly, the new transmissions.
  6. 1,500 Mile towing roadtrip, detailed writeup. Luck was on our side!

Before the Rivian (and before kids) this was my adventure setup. The Rivian pulls trailers like they aren't even there, where the poor ol 4Runner and its underpowered motor and 5 speed would have to work its tail off when going up an inclines.
  7. 1,500 Mile towing roadtrip, detailed writeup. Luck was on our side!

Just wrapped up a 1,500 mile roadtrip towing a 23’ travel trailer. 9 nights and 4 locations. 10 DCFC stops with no hiccups and never needing to unhook the trailer in order to charge. Also, 3 days before the trip my official NACS adapter arrived. I have the A2Z but a bitter more piece of mind for...
  8. First camping trip with Tepui Kukenam XL Ruggedized SKY 4 Tent on R1T

Love the quick workaround. There are cheaper bedrock options out there. I was running the Range-Industries rack which secures by 2 bolts for each of the 4 mounts on the bed rails. Then had a simple hoist in the garage that could lift the tent and rack straight off when I needed to use the truck...

Thanks for your continued efforts on creating parts for Rivains! Curious if you have made any progress on these?
  10. California R1T Bed Rack - Range Industries - $1500

They’re on an even better sale on Amazon right now. Was in the $160s this morning. https://amzn.to/3zkzNGW
  16. Overlanding: Power Consumption & Camp Mode

I have a writeup somewhere on this forum, but running just a fridge for 2.5 days and 2 nights drained 40+ miles. Temps were 65-40 degrees, so fridge wasn't the culprit of the power draw, its the fact that you need to leave the truck and inverter on that long. I made a video here explaining in...

  18. 6/2024 Schnebly Hill Trail into Sedona

Nice photos! Great trail, we recently took it in the reverse direction and ended up camping at the top of the trail with some amazing views. For the other questions in the thread.. the sidewalls on the OEM A/T tires are pretty weak. If you’re serious about off roading I would look into something...
