my guess: someone accidentally added you to the beta... maybe typed in an incorrect vin or ID that mapped your vehicle to the upcoming update.

definitely a leak from the upcoming release - sounds like they may have deployed the changes on their (server) side and somehow the app went there....Will be interesting to see what Rivian says...

Okay...so that is a constraint of this device then....because most CP implementations support audio. So that means if I had notifications or directions set to play through audio, none of those would work? Would've been nice even if some audio came through the device even if it couldn't play...

does the audio through rivian stay on when you switch the to the Ev Play device? i.e. if i am using SiriusXm or spotify through the rivian does that stay on when i switch to the ev play device on the screen

It sounds like the NFC besides the wireless pad is triggering the payment option. It must be a feature on your phone where NFC is triggering an 'auto' pay option (with your fingerprint) - Look for options around quick pay, smart pay, nfc etc. that toggling off may help solve this issue.

have you always had this issue? We got our R1S last year (2024 also) and just hit the 1 year mark and it works fine on my android and my wife's iphone. Having read through other posts on this forum there have been 'hardware issues' that come across intermittently....

Yes, absolutely! Use the Tesla app and use the filter for have "Adapter" and you can see all the sites that support charging for non-TESLA's (i.e. Rivian) with an adaptor. I've used ones in Niagara falls, Brampton and Mississauga with no issues.
