  1. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

In my Mustang Mach E I was more inclined to do it in city, since it allowed for lane centering too. But I guess I just don't feel the draw as much if I have to steer anyway hahah
  2. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

I suspect you might be in the minority here. Day to day I rarely use cruise control in the city. If I'm getting stopped a lights, it's usually just a couple lights. From the Rivian website: RAP+ features will be paid, RAP is free. All of Gen 1's capabilities fall into the RAP category, so it...
  3. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

This is for in city driving. So if you're not paying attention to when the light turns green, and traffic starts to move, it'll chime to get your attention to tell you to go
  4. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

He's referring to the RAP+ subscription. It hasn't begun yet, but they're planning on charging a subscription for autonomy features on gen 2
  5. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

Yes! Often times a new app update will go hand in hand with a new vehicle update. Said to say that it will likely be well into next week at least that we will get the vehicle update since the app hasn't updated yet
  6. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

Absolutely! I will 100% NOT be using that feature, but it will certainly make a lot of folks happy, so I'm glad it's there.
  7. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

The way that Ford's mobile eye systems perform isn't necessarily an indicator for how Rivian's mobiley eye system should perform. Remember, Mobile eye has multiple products, with multiple revisions that all have different capabilities. I can think of a few possible reasons why the one Rivian...
  8. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

I will preface by saying this is very much a subjective/preference thing. But in my Mom's case, the garage is very tight, with another vehicle on the left side, and the wall of the grage on the right. With the mirrors in their normal position I can see all down the sides of the body and see...
  9. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

In the days before surround cameras I thought it was great. But the other day I was in my Mom's 2015 Grand cherokee with this feature and it annoyed me greatly. I felt like I couldn't see what I wanted to see while backing out of her very tight garage.
  10. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

Yeah I could have clarified haha... A dual system, meaning it has two systems. Not that it's currently using both to drive. On that note, I actually did some experimentation to confirm exactly how much control mobile eye has. More to be posted later ; ?
  11. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

Ha ha ha nutritious AND helpful! What a handy snack! ...or not ?
  12. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

When it comes to autonomy related features, unfortunately they're kinda limited to what mobile eye offers. And that may not be something they offer on the hardware in Gen 1
  13. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

Such confidence Gen 1 WAS outsourced. That's why it fell so short of expectations. Gen 2 has an in house system. Improvements have been big and very fast since launch. Still a long way to catch up to competition, but they've gotten WAY farther with an in house system than they ever got with...
  14. 2025.06 Update Release Notes

Wow! Did not expect hands free highway assist so soon! Go chime is also an unexpected nice surprise! NGL - I I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't enable Lane centering off Highway with the introduction of hands-free on the highway
  15. Infotainment Performance (Blind Spot Camera Lag and More)

Hot spot and the ability to use satellite view in maps are two easy ways to tell
  16. 2025.06 Update: Dual Motor Owners Can Software Upgrade to Dual Performance + Rally Mode first look!

Half second quicker? Dual is rated at 4.5s, Performance Dual at 3.4s. So if the difference between the two drive modes in your testing is only .5s, that must mean that performance dual also unlocks some extra power on AP
  17. Infotainment Performance (Blind Spot Camera Lag and More)

Wait your loaner doesn't have connect+?? Interesting.. I have had 2 loaners in the last few months and both of them did have it
  18. Infotainment Performance (Blind Spot Camera Lag and More)

That's an interesting observation - I wonder if Google Cast is running in the background... Definitely odd behavior. I might be remembering wrong, but doesn't it chime just after the horn, but also after about a minute when the recording ends automatically?
  19. Infotainment Performance (Blind Spot Camera Lag and More)

I kind of wonder if the issue is worse with gen 2 because the same (or at least similar) chip is getting pushed harder with the higher res cameras, etc. That said - @cpucrazy has a gen 1, and he said he's had pretty laggy map performance
