The best resources I am aware of for all things charging is State of Charge on YouTube. Tom Moloughney does an exceptional job of testing, reviewing, and rating EVSE's and Wall Connectors as well as DC Fast Chargers and all things EV charging.
I am a big fan of United Chargers (Canada) Grizzl-E, though I have seen a bunch of well-priced new-in-box Rivian Wall Chargers on FB Marketplace. Have noted some failure complaints with Rivian Wall Connectors.
Kinda hatin on Tesla right now, but they make very good Wall Connectors whether you...
I really enjoyed the options for regenerative braking in my old Polestar 2: none (coast), low, and regular. I think it should be standard to have the option and not just for driving in snow and ice.
Really got used to coasting in the E-Tron and our Taycan; way less jerky for passengers and no...
Excellent point, if only there were a place to find a bunch of Rivian owners with close to equivalent models then we could test it. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo...
Is anyone game to try this head-to-head test?
I hear you and generally agree. I purchased a new Porsche Taycan and paid just over six-figures with tax, title, and tags for an "inexpensive" Porsche. It was a very good car, almost great but so many recalls and UX bugs; really annoyed me.
I try to focus on value, but I am an emotional buyer...
None of it matters to me because I think there are different EPA testing procedures (cycles) the manufacturers can choose. Porsche and Mercedes-Benz seem to underestimate real-world range, Tesla used to overestimate real-world range, Rivian seems "close" if you drive the speed limit.
I do not...
If you say so...

All new cars and trucks sold in the U.S. must be certified to meet federal emission standards, such as limits on the amount of smog-forming and greenhouse gas emissions that they can...
I am impressed that the 2025 R1T Tri-Max on 20" All Terrains did just about as well as the 2024 Dual-Large and Dual-Max on 21" Range Wheels, however, I still just do not see the value unless you really want/need the latest and greatest with "better" interior options and ADAS, etc.
I want Rivian...
All Terrain Tires Barely Slow The Rivian R1T Max Pack - 10% Challenge Road Trip Simulation
TLDW: 2025 R1T Tri-Max on AT's is very close to both 2024 R1T Dual-Large and 2024 R1T Dual-Max.
2025 R1T Tri-Max 20" AT: 84-miles
2024 R1T Dual-Large 21": 85-miles
2024 R1T Dual-Max 21": 85-miles...
Thanks for setting me straight and explaining how aerodynamics and rolling resistance work. Please feel free to post your own testing procedures and results at your leisure.
I think I will just keep my Gen 1 and forego upgrading to a new Gen 2 Tri-Max. My used Gen 1 R1T cost me $55k before...
Not sure what you are on about? If I were a prospective buyer, I would purchase a used Large Pack Quad Motor over a Max Pack Tri-Motor.
If you think that is "unfair" oh well, have a good one!
I think it's accurate. You can define "much" however you would like. Let me put it another way:
Rivian charges much more for the Max Pack Tri-Motor on All Terrains than the Large Pack Quad-Motor on All Terrains, however, the Max Pack does not drive much further than the Large Pack even though...
