  1. YouTube Video: The 2025 Rivian R1T Tri-motor Max Pack Does Its Best With All Terrain Tires! 70-MPH Range Test

Efficient tires or not, it has a much larger "Max" battery pack. Just like a larger gas tank, it should have more than 3% range than the smaller "Large" pack.
  2. YouTube Video: The 2025 Rivian R1T Tri-motor Max Pack Does Its Best With All Terrain Tires! 70-MPH Range Test

The test seems pretty realistic to me as many people prefer to run all terrain tires for a variety of reasons. Kinda crazy that the test is so far from the EPA rating which I think is around 329-miles on 20" all terrain tires. I guess it's just about 9% off from EPA rating which is not a 70-mph...
  3. YouTube Video: The 2025 Rivian R1T Tri-motor Max Pack Does Its Best With All Terrain Tires! 70-MPH Range Test

Spoiler: 298.1-miles at 70-mph using Out of Spec testing procedures
  4. Waiting a year and a half now - no "resume" for cruise. Seriously?

I agree, it's a simple feature available on pretty much all vehicles with standard (non-adaptive) cruiser control. It should be a standard feature for Rivian especially with their marketing of Driver+ as a premier ADAS system; those of use who have used it know the truth.
  5. Savage Geese review of 2025 R1S Gen2

Ohh snap! I wonder how much help they needed or if they took any bypasses? R1S definitely has the superior break over angle compared to R1T.
  6. Savage Geese review of 2025 R1S Gen2

Can it really complete the Rubicon Trail stock? The only owner (Rexbo) I am aware of who has attempted (not finished) has/had a well modified R1T and wound-up permanently deforming the side panels behind the cab from the twisting of the body. Rubicon Trail: 1, Rexbo R1T: 0
  7. North Carolina 2022 LIMESTONE R1T Adventure Quad Motor w/ extras - $52,250K

Purchased my 2022 R1T Adventure QM pretty well loaded a couple months ago for $55k from FB Marketplace. It had about 12k-miles less than yours. Looks like you are priced to sell. Good luck with sale!
  8. Edmunds' 2025 Gen2 R1T Dual Motor vs. Tacoma TRD Pro Off-Road Comparison

Have owned an L322 Range Rover 5.0 V8, L663 Defender 110 2.0 I4 Turbo, and L405 Range Rover Supercharged 5.0 SCV8. Land Rover's system is so good it feels like you are cheating; even on the much older models. They are the only vehicles I have owned that I would say do not require rear and front...
  9. Unreal Engine: Rivian UX Program Update: From Early Adoption to Full Lineup

I prefer speed to cool animations and I had no issues with the Polestar 2 UX with AAOS. Form follows function, simplicity and intuitive design = elegance in my book.
  10. Edmunds' 2025 Gen2 R1T Dual Motor vs. Tacoma TRD Pro Off-Road Comparison

Does not surprise me based on my Quad Motor experiences off road. Rivian just has not dialed in their traction modes as well as Land Rover, Toyota, Jeep, even Nissan. I would love to blame the limitation on their motors but I think it's really programming for brake-torque traction control. My...
  11. Keep R1T After Warranty or buy new one

It is a bit of a crap shoot, however, unless you plan to buy a used R1T with tons of warranty left, my bet is that you would spend more on a brand new R1T versus the out of pocket repair costs on your current R1T (expensive as they might be). Selfishly I would also like to see how the process...
  12. Does Rivian have what it takes to survive?

It is highly likely that even RJ Scaringe does not know if RIvian will "make it." No one has a crystal ball.
  13. New Heavy Duty Aluminum Rival Skid Plates Installed! - EV Sportline

Not trying to hurt your sales and I doubt my comments would detour anyone from purchasing these skid plates as most who do will never actually use them (especially not in Baja racing). Simply speaking from my own experience using steel and aluminum skid plates on different vehicles (JKU...
  14. New Heavy Duty Aluminum Rival Skid Plates Installed! - EV Sportline

Aluminum skid plates might be lighter and look very cool, but they really suck going over rocks. Aluminum skid plates gouge, stopping movement and they tend to deform easily when the weight of the vehicle comes down. Steel skid plates are heavier, they can rust, but they generally allow the...
  15. Cost of ownership, parts, and right to repair

Good point regarding the Silverado EV WT which also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto unlike the Silverado EV RST and LT trims. I really like the WT4 after driving it back-to-back against the RST; I did not miss the rear steer and not sure how much I would actually use the mid-gate though...
  16. Motor failure message

kW = power as in rate of charge or motor power (horsepower) kWh = energy as in stored energy in a battery pack or units of energy purchased They are not interchangeable units.
  17. Educating ourselves on Rivian's autonomous driving history, present, and future

Humans actually use more than just their sense of sight to drive effectively. Hearing, touch sensitivity, and even smell are all processed in the Observe Orient Decide Act (OODA) loop. Humans cannot see in the dark, nor through fog, or heavy weather. Makes sense to utilize multiple sensors if...
  18. My Rivian saved mine and my kids lives

So happy to read there were no serious injuries or fatalities. Hope the insurance process is as smooth as possible.
