Note if you have different time rates, you can put that into your tesla app. The batteries will automaitcally feed back power to your house or grid when expensive, and then charge when it is cheap. It is kind of hard to find in the menu but it is there. This alone will get you some arbitrage...
Also, if you have a night differential (some states have plans that allow that), it is cheaper to charge at night. If you have a powerwall, you can tell it your rate times and it will generate credits for you by pulling at cheaper times and then sending back to the grid or your house at more...
Good luck! What will an order like that run these days?
It is a while ago but I think I got directed to shop when I had a LE because I wanted the white interior but there was a delay. I ended up getting black and throwing in under body shield. I've hit a rock (with no issues) off road so I...
So this is funny. I was at 130.8. I dropped my son off at practice about 1.5 miles each way up and down a hill. Now it says 130.1 (I think this may be what one of the posters was saying it gives you a good idea but it is not exact). Bat temp went up a bit. Man this data is addictive.
Dude, I am at 24,000 miles in 18 months and I am at 130.8 (outside temp of 69.8 degrees and battery temp of 69.1). I DCFC on road trips (most common in winter, and less commmon maybe once per month in winter). Have definitely charged to 100. Only a handful of times have I let the car go below...
Edited: I should have started off with, thank you. So, thank you.
I plan to keep this bad boy til the wheels fall off (well not literally). I am 19 months and 24,000 miles in and I can't see or feel any degradation (of course doesn't mean it is not there). I mostly charge to 70. I do...
Thanks for taking the time to share this. Other than the door handles, less ECUs, and savings on wiring, I didn't really know what's up.
One funny things about a brand that keeps iterating on a car - and I noticed this when they came out with all the range choices - you really have to...
I agree with the first post you got that you do not need to do this. I did, however, because when I ordered the car there was no snow mode, and I had seen stories of folks skidding at the higher regen levels on the east coast. So, I don't think you NEED to do this.
Snow mode came out after i...
Updates are very valuable. Lots of bugs and lots of new (better) changes since I took delivery 20 months ago (easy one that comes to mind is birds eye view on camera).
Dude, we early price Gen1s got lucky. I did the math and with solar and tax rebate it is like the price of a Highlander over 10 years (maybe less as my fuel cost has gone from 1,000 per year to like 300).
Of course it wasn't quite luck as we took all that early adapter risk . . . .
If they are cranking as it seems I think not too long?
It looks like they are basically following calendar of delivery with some variations (e.g. 12xxx T in Feb 23 around same time as 3xxx S in Feb 23) from that link.
I took delivery of an S in late January '23 with VIN 3xxx and my adapter...
Hey!
It isn't clear to me what we get. It looks like we keep hotspot and we keep satelite maps.
I will probably pay for it, but it is kind of funny that they are charging for the map part (to be fair they always said they would charge for hotspot).
I will tell you, I was in the catskills...
