I am thinking if Tesla is actually ramping up the market will drop out for A2Z and Lectron. Of course, not all automakers are giving it free so there should still be a market.
Largely very good. I can think of one bad experience with EA. But it really depends on where you live.
Detail: I live in the NY metro area and have home charging. I do take long trips, particularly for skiing in the winter, between 2.5 and 5 hours one way. The only real 'fail' I can...
I have them and I love them. I believe for these there is not a circumference difference (though if I am wrong at least let me know).
They are much quieter than the 20ATs, and in snow mode it is very difficult to get them to skid (though of course you should drive carefully) in cold, icy...
Good for you! I am guessing this is much of the use case of this vehicle.
I take mine off road a fair bit (soft sand) but laughed out loud at the monthly costco run - the R1s eats up costco sized packages.
On the flip, I have had Launchy for 18 months and 23,000 miles. I plan unfamiliar routes with a combo of the Rivian app, chargeway, and plugshare and have not had unsurmountable issues including an 1800 mile roundtrip to Huntsville from Long Island.
Research/knowledge is power. And yes, if I...
I am sorry. If i am going on a bit of a trip on a route i have not done, I plugshare the chargers that the Rivian app suggests.
You won't make this mistake again. And it was not positive but you can learn from this.
I was Jan 23 R1s and I got the email on 8/30. So good luck that it is soon!
Separately - how long are people seeing from the 'confirm your address' email to when they receive the adapter?
Best - DB
Short answer, no. It is a matter of contract and Rivian currently says using a third party adapter they do not supply voids warranty.
State of Charge on youtube had some pretty good youtube videos a while ago.
Yeah audio is what I meant.
Didn’t realize about key fab or camp speaker.
key fab is ok. Camp speaker fun.
I m a big fan of my early adopter R1s. I have a lot of fun with it and it is great for road trips. Just was driving it on the beach today. Super smooth.
But couldn’t people who are...
Yes, sir, but take a look at a map of third party chargers in this area and where you are. I think there is one ev go 10 minutes out of the way, and then a bad EA charger 40 miles down this corridor.
I haven't checked but as I understand it your neck of the woods is swimming in third party...
This one is in the middle of a road trip for me from LI to Cape Cod (itself a charging wasteland). There are a fair bit of people who go from NY metro to Cape Code so according to that criteria this is a good one.
Shockingly, it was easier to find good chargers NY to Alabama than NY to Rhode...
Was this a pilot or flying J? It seems EVGos are there. Just asking because I did a trip from NY to Huntsville Alabama. Researched the heck out of it and luckily did not need all the research. Did not end up at an EVGo
I have found that I can 'fill up' at a Rivian charger for say 40, which might cost a tahoe like 80 (but the tahoe would go another 150 miles on a fill up).
If you pay a Tesla bang you price you probably are note saving much.
FWIW, I precisely tracked my charging cost for my first 10,000...
