Thanks. Yeah every trim piece has the cut in that location to make that sharp bend... it's just that some are way cleaner than others,,, yours seems to be the cleanest and mine the worst.
Oh sorry.. yeah I know how that goes... never noticed it but one you see, you can't help it :(
Thanks everyone for providing feedbacks. I shall watch the Munro video.
I just didn't notice in online pictures taken at a distance so may be I thought mine wasn't done cleanly.
Ok thanks. I was suspecing that the cut was necessary but mine happens to have this dark 'vain' or something around the crack... making it look like 'stain' around the cut and more prominently visible. Oh well... I will share the picture with the tech... if they say no, it's within spect then I...
Sorry for a haste post, in a bit of hurry. Those of you who own a forest edge interior, can you look at your dash and tell me if yours look like this? If nothing like this, take a picture and share with me? I kind of gussed a poor workmanship but Rivian tech is incisting this is normal and part...
" The length is proper and follows the contour of the black molded door trim. "
That is the entire reason I ordered this vs all other steps that are full length. I am very particular about the "OEM look" and this is only one that looked OEM design to me by matching the length of controur of...
ah... forgot about that... assumed it was the wifi connection from my router. of course. Also, I think Estimated time is static... it hasn't changed from 65 min from the start but the progress bar is now showing 35%.
EV Enthuasist since 2010, owned several (leaf, I3, Sour EV etc) and currently R1S.
As much as I am an EV Enthuasists, I can't let go of my ICE root.. the vibration and sound. I used to love to hear the exahust brake sound when used to pull a 36ft travel trailer down the mountain path with my Ram...
Have you consider Kia EV9? The range isn't impressive (under 300 miles I think) and it won't qualify 7.5k ev credit yet untill they start buiding it in US factory. But damn... Model X for under $80k... I was not expecting that. As much as I hated Model X all my life, it's going to be a tempting...
it's not 22.23.. it was pointed out and corrected as "23.22" as in "Version 2023.22.0" at earlier post (page 1)
You should already have it I would think. I've got notification on my phone like over a week ago to update it.
speaking of AC noise... besides the noise I feel the vibration through...
Apparently painted parts of rear gates, top and bottom are all plastic attached to metal frame. Here my paint chip has exposed underlying black polyurethane (presumably)
Right I can adjust these... except due to the paint damage they will replace them first... and they claim they can align these as well... not holding my breath. I will end up adjusting them after the replacement I guess.
In my case, driver side, yes the top part sits too low. on right side, top part is perfectly lined up but lower part sits too high. amazing job...
2 other R1S waiting to be delivered after mine. 3rd one had a similar issue but delivery was in progress so I couldn't take pictures.
thanks.. I saw your post for sale. I am pretty set on sport dark if I am going to do this. I picked up mine last week and based on comments I am getting on the look of 20 AT, I am having a hard time deciding if I want to really swap them with 22 darks. My wife doesn't even share my obsession...
I picked up mine last week VIN 1260x and in my case lower gate was pushed up too high it was rubbing against top hatch, damaging the paint on both requiring replacement. i checked 3 other R1S waiting to be delivered that day. all 3 had crooked tailgates. It's amazing how these passed QC at the...
it's a first world problem... I should be thankful and glad I've got my dream configuration picked out and getting it delivered 6 month ahead of last estimate. Few days of delay isn't going to kill me.
