  1. Software Update 2023.46.0 is rolling out

I had this issue with my passenger side. Had the latch replaced last week and now no problemo.
  2. EPA data shows Rivians more efficient than Cybertruck, even with larger wheels and batteries

I once drove my 2014 Leaf a constant 40km/h and achieved 200km of range (over 10km/kWh)… I don’t want to take the time to try the equivalent in my R1T lol. edit: turns out it was 182km, but the point stands. Dug up this almost 10 year old post on my blog… my how things have changed...
  3. CA to AZ hunting trip with guerrilla charging (RAN, EA, RV plug)

I use a similar kit with my Tesla mobile unit from my Model 3 for the most frequently found TT-30 receptacle, then a NACS to J1772 adapter.
  4. CyberTruck is more than Stainless Steel...Tesla excels at Engineering in so many ways.

Kyle confirmed in this podcast (at about 11:00) that the dual motor CT will have a locker on each axle... so there we go, one confirmed customer-facing major engineered benefit of the CT over the R1T!
  5. Official Cybertruck Pricing - Starts at $60K+

One of many inconsistencies in that table - I tried posting a few corrections in the Twitter thread: Couple of notes: curb weight R1T std cfg 6,740 lbs, payload 1,792. Max clearance CT should have * - only extract mode - unknown for actual driving. R1T giant glass roof too. R1T cross-hydro...
  6. Got my R1T stuck in mud last night

Were you high centred? Or just couldn't get traction?
  7. CyberTruck is more than Stainless Steel...Tesla excels at Engineering in so many ways.

The first part of your statement would only apply to the wire coming into/leaving the battery pack, and even then only if they under-sized the wire in a 400v system vs 800v. Again, at the cell level, the voltage is the SAME. This is inherent in the chemistry of the batteries, and cell format...
  8. CyberTruck is more than Stainless Steel...Tesla excels at Engineering in so many ways.

I mean the 800v has nothing to do with the pack being able to hold a longer 250kW or 350kW; that is related to the ability of the pack to move waste heat and cell characteristics (I.e. will they put up with a ~3C charge rate).
  9. CyberTruck is more than Stainless Steel...Tesla excels at Engineering in so many ways.

Nope. As I said further up thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/cybertruck-is-more-than-stainless-steel-tesla-excels-at-engineering-in-so-many-ways.21737/page-5#post-441993
  10. Cybertruck crushes Rivian in one key area

17” clearance in extract mode… so jury is still out on that one until someone measures the clearance in the actual driving mode.
  11. CyberTruck is more than Stainless Steel...Tesla excels at Engineering in so many ways.

Pizza delivery drivers are going to snap up the CT!
  12. CyberTruck is more than Stainless Steel...Tesla excels at Engineering in so many ways.

We don’t really know the constraints in most DCFC chains on the vehicles (R1T is pack thermals). 800v does mean you can use lighter gauge wiring from the port to the battery pack, but is completely independent of the pack itself. The cells aren’t 800v, and pack design plus cell specifications...
  13. Cybertruck door handles?

I’m also curious to hear more about the seat height off the floor. Honestly it’s better than I expected, but still not enough for my family with tall teens.
  14. Official Cybertruck Pricing - Starts at $60K+

same for our trucks per comments from Rivian previously, so I see this as on par with the other EV trucks
  15. Official Cybertruck Pricing - Starts at $60K+

I’ve had 5 in mine with a RaceFace pad.
  16. Official Cybertruck Pricing - Starts at $60K+

The unpacking the bed part and putting your stuff on the ground really adds to the appeal. At that price I’ll just sleep on the dash haha.
  17. Official Cybertruck Pricing - Starts at $60K+

Checkout the hilarious looking tent too: I wonder if their air suspension can "level" the sail panels of the truck enough so you could use a RTT on the bars? I also note that they don't have any promo images showing a roof box on those bars... it'll look hilarious.
