Huh … that’s strange. Without doing the math to see what a 275/60/20 equates to, maybe that’s a closer match to the OE 22’s tire’s 33-inch size versus the stock 20-inch tire’s 34-inch size ... thus eliminating the need to have the vehicle system updated to reflect a different tire size after the...
Pretty sure they just meant you can’t use your 22-inch tires, because the wheel is 20-inches, so you need to order 20-inch tires accordingly (i.e., “a different tire size”).
Same same ... received email for address confirmation on July 14 and nothing since. Figured Rivian maybe halted deliveries due to early customer issues (arriving broken, seemingly fragile even if arriving safe, etc). Seems like people are still getting them though (and still fragile).
I...
A little over 8000 miles on these now, pretty much 50/50 “city/highway” (the latter being predominantly long journeys, and often in Conserve mode), no rotation yet and they’re wearing perfectly.
Outstanding product. The knock-off charging pucks are slower, especially toward the top of a charge; best to use Apple MagSafe chargers (spend the extra up front and be done). And FWIW, my wife’s iPhone 14 Pro with a standard (non-MagSafe) case charges fine, as does my back up Pixel 7 Pro with...
Some observations:
The R1S and RB R1T have some sort of sliders on them. Can’t tell if OE prototypes or just makeshift units purpose made/mounted for this excursion
The R1S is running OE Pirelli tires while the RB R1T has BFG KO2s
Receiver hitches mounted in place of the recover hoops up front...
Haha ??
The Frenchie just likes to be up front and is more extroverted while the Chocolate stays in back where she's supposed to be, and won't stay in the truck if the door is open for her to get out. In other words, one's a diva who needs to be center of attention and the other is happy to be...
Well ... there you go. I only did a cursory test and it seemed like too much of a PITA to wedge it in there, so didn't go as far as "making it fit". That post said it "fits easily", but the weight (makes it a little awkward) and width (would have to go in at an angle) meant it wasn't worth...
Those efficiency numbers are incredible given the journey and elevation changes and all that crap hanging off the truck!
I just got back from a roughly 650 mile trip, with starting elevation of 4000 feet, over an 8000 foot pass then dropping to near sea level (and back). With just a cargo box...
Also worth watching Out of Spec Review’s video on this. Kyle does a good job comparing the three factory wheel and tire choices in a simple efficiency test.

I have PPF and it did not save my metal from the slight bump I mentioned. It probably protected it from scratching, but this was the result of a very, very light touch.
Frunc? Front + trunk = frunk!
Sucks about the dents. Agree the body panels are super thin and easily susceptible to denting/dinging easily. I barely bumped the C-pillar with the tip of my wife’s paddle board and it left a dent/crease. After 5 years with my Raptor, using the shit out of it and...
