Well, I've been monitoring this thread for quite a while, one last post from me. Install went off without a hitch today. A couple of notes from me:
1) Watch the YouTube linked above before you start
2) Must-have supplies that I had to go out and purchase today: 7/16 impact socket, more than...
great video- thanks for posting @EV Sportline.
I'm about to unbox mine and check for damage- hopefully the boxes didn't break until they were on the delivery truck
Great work as always Rob. The install on these new vent mounts is super clean and easy. I still love the positioning of the one in the middle, so I'm leaving that one in too. My wife and kids love the vent mounts, especially the one on the passenger side.
Heck yeah - thanks Vandy. Wonderful news on that Columbia location and this is the first I've heard of a Magic Dock on any of my normal routes. That's a great alternative for those of us traveling from NE Florida to the NC mountains up I-26. There is an EA at a WalMart just northwest of...
I think @EV Sportline has been responsive, transparent, and straightforward. Look back through this thread and you'll probably agree. I haven't loved the delays, but at least these guys are communicating and have always responded to my emails and posts. I appreciate the level of detail that...
I chalk tested my KO2s on stock 20s and found my sweet spot at 58 psi cold. Interested to see what OP comes up with. I now have 14k miles on my K02 and my Discount Tire guys say they're wearing evenly and looking great.
@EV Sportline is awesome. My R1S rock sliders arrive today - install...
thats funny. I was near there last summer and pulled in to the little you-spray car wash in Rutledge. Not only does that car wash not take apple pay, it also doesn't take credit cards or $100 bills (I felt like a typical Rivian owner). A nice local man gave me a stack of quarters to wash off...
I hope the poster doesn't get shut down. It will be cool to follow progress. I may have visited the site last summer before seeing the no trespassing signs, but if I did I certainly wouldn't admit it on a forum...
If Rivian is reading this, please invite us to the site sometime - maybe we...

I really want to buy a Kia EV9. There, I said it. Sure, it won't bounce across construction sites like my R1S, and it certainly won't hit it off the line, but it...
Interesting feature in this update - has anyone noticed that their truck no longer rolls back on its own? Here's my use case: I have a squishy plastic boat fender that hangs on my wall that I bump into with the nose of my R1S, this serves to tell me when I've pulled into the garage far enough...
Cool photos and great trip! We love FPL charging - typically $0.30 per kWh which is less than some, and they have several well-located chargers. Anyone reading this and traveling through Florida be sure to check them out on PlugShare as you're looking at routes...
So cool thanks for sharing. My kids like to put the second row down and sit in the 3rd row, which is my 6'10" nephew's favorite way to ride with us (unless he's driving). This is a versatile vehicle. I'm sure several folks will see this post and remove the 3rd row to provide more storage room...
me too, my R1S sliders are an August order, still waiting. @EV Sportline has always been responsive with updates and answering questions. I'm hoping to see mine this month.
This reminds me of when I received emails from Tesla to upgrade my wife's Model 3, and later Model Y for $2,000 for "acceleration boost." That was an easy decision both times. There are many reasons to defer cost from an initial purchase, affordability, tax or otherwise. Rivian monetizing...
Looks like a great tire - thanks for sharing! My wait was over the day after I brought my truck home and I put a set of BFG KO2 on it, but that's just me. These Michelin will be a great option for many folks out there.
I had a few paint nibs and imperfections on my R1S. I uploaded a ticket and the service center took it to a body shop while it was in for service. I actually asked my service advisor to loop me in with the paint guy. He said the paint was overall in great shape other than the nibs, and if he...
I wonder if we need someone to make stickers that say "jack here===>" for us to stick on the bottom of our sliders... My local Discount Tire is finally pretty well trained on Rivians, I'll have to re-educate them once my sliders arrive
