Well to be fair, people will tend to complain more than praise (and I say that as the OP). But I do think itās important that Rivian be held accountable to issues so that they work to resolve issues like this (and more importantly the 1 and a half hour hold
Time to reach someone to help)?
Thanks for the insight. That could be. I wonder why 1c would say available if it was offline (at the pedestal I mean)? But that theory certainly could hold water. They suggested I go back and try again and do a hard reset on the vehicle if I get the same issue.
Finally got through at 1 hour and 25 minutes. No explanation for the long hold but thank you for the advice. Iāll certainly try that if there is a ānext timeā (hopefully not!)
Iāve been a Tesla owner since 2013. Iāve had my Rivian a year next month. I think Iām pretty well aware of the pros and cons of charging infrastructure being as there really wasnāt one when I switched to EVās. That being said, it doesnāt matter if there are DCFCās on every corner if you canāt...
Iāve charged many places. Never an issue. This was the first RAN I tried and it was a dud experience for sure. I tried 1b and 1c for those interested in comparing. Whoever set the pedestals also did a pretty bad job of lining them up with the parking stalls which isnāt a big deal but itās a bit...
Oh and I called into Rivian. Gave up on actually getting a live person after about 20 minutes. If they want to be competitive they are going to have to step up their game. Thank God my wife wasnāt with me or she would have cancelled her R1S reservation before we got home.
Went to check out the Greenville SC station today. First attempt I kept getting a red bollard and tried 3 times to reconnect. Gave up and moved down one. Sat for over 14 minutes while seeing āstartingā on the screen but it never did. Thatās pretty disappointing
I didnāt think that was a factor. I (And others) are the same distance or closer from Atlanta than that and in the āprocessing estimateā purgatory. We got the email that many in NC and SC received:
āWeāre writing to provide context on how regulatory restrictions in your state are impacting...
