why do you say that? They have the dual motor small pack you can technically get for $73K (yes I know it’s not technically available yet but neither is the new Silverado EV, Blazer or Equinox yet they are listed on the updated list of qualifying vehicles)
So AM radio is not present in most EV’s for a simple Reason: there is electromagnetic interference from electric motors which generate frequencies comparable in wavelength to AM radio signals.
I understood it. I'm afraid you are the one not getting the context, "Bud". This test was on a R1T. That isn't the same vehicle as a R1S and it's likely the airbag for the 2nd/3rd row on a R1S will not be the same as a R1T so to assume otherwise is presumptuous.
Correct I was going by the EPA estimate. I know some of us are seeing more than 328 estimated on a full charge but I felt this was the most apples to apples comparison.
I guess I shouldn't feel that's insignificant but I was expecting more than 22 miles. I can't see taking the dual motor as an early reservation holder unless they want to allow us to get a credit back for the difference to apply towards the Max pack battery.
I watched the video a few times. Didn’t see an R1S anywhere in the video. I read the IIHS report too. Didn’t see R1S mentioned anywhere “bud”??
Agreed but I wonder if a simple mechanical fix is cheaper/easier than 2 motors with the necessary sensors/controller to prevent the cause of failure of the current design
I do think even though stainless is more expensive not having the time/expense of what corrosion/paint prep/paint/finishing/polishing involves likely make the stainless body cheaper than a conventional steel/aluminum body painted like most cars on the road today. The huge castings for the...
I read it Before. But there is another thread that doesnt support your narrative.

Possibly. We don’t know what range increase the dual motor will provide but we do know the perfomance (both on and off road) will suffer vs the quad motor. I could only be interested in the dual if it was cheaper and offered 50+ more miles of range. As a pre March 1 reservation I would have to...
I think you are being presumptuous here. There are people taking delivery every day of quad motors. How many dual motors have been delivered as of today?
