I've been tracking towing my very aero TrailManor. Depending on how much weight I have in it, the range rating varies. This, driving the same loop to the same camp ground under pretty much the same conditions. The swing in detected weight seems a bit much but maybe not off by huge amounts...
Yes, just rotate the wheel so you can get at the puncture. Remove the screw or whatever. Use the rake file to ream the hole. Insert a plug to the middle in the fork tool. Coat it with lots of glue so it slides easier. Force the tool and plug into the tread so the plug is inside but still has...
I had a nail on day two but caught it before it went through. A screw a few months later that I plugged. The heavier the tire, the more the drivability goes away. I've had all different AT tires in size and load rating on 4wheeling rigs.
Another tire similar to compare to the ltx MS is the...
The goop is the very last resort for me. Plugs are number 1 and one of my wheels sports one. Number 2 is the spare. I have a compact one. Number 3 goop for the irreversible mess it makes.
Well Toyota has had lots of motor issues lately. Both the new 4cyl and 3.5L turbo motors are going through bearings every 30K. Like Hyundai they claim debris left in from manufacturing but tear downs have shown it's a defect instead.
I camp speaker is junk. Don't bother. Some of the other items can be gotten in the Rivian gear shop and are worth it like the flashlight, some sort of mobile charger (aftermarket is fine), storage divider, compressor hose and plugs, and especially card keys.
The few times I've had to DC charge for more than 15 minutes I was eating lunch anyway. The Max pack just gets me to so many places without worrying about charging. Keep in mind that the TRI and performance models only give full hp in Sport mode.
I wonder if the rad tuner allows for lower Regen adjustment? We need a quad to chime in. Some of us might get that feature if Rivian decides to add it to performance models. In all models you can shift to neutral. Sometimes that is needed on steep rutted dirt roads where lifting a wheel causes...
The door strike is adjustable on most vehicles. Mark the current position of the strike with tape and also measure the offset in a convenient spot on the closed door to see how much it needs to be moved. Loosen the screws and slide the strike in that much. Tighten and test.
If it's only the...
The inverters are attached to the motors. I believe "motor temp" is actually the inverter temp. They are basically cooled together. The inverter converts the DC battery power to 3 phase to run the motor and vice versa to regen. On some vehicles the motor inverter acts as the charger from AC for...
I bought one that has reflective foil on the up side. If I roll down all the windows, the wind buffeting knocks it down. I need to figure better clips. It's no longer on Amazon.
