  1. Chevy looking like a trail boss

I suppose, but the guys at Enterprise kept saying it was a $100,000 truck. When I couldn't figure out how to raise the seat I went back inside to ask them. They came out to try and figure it out while I was looking up how to do it online. Which is when I came across the booster seat solution...
  2. Chevy looking like a trail boss

Try actually driving a Silverado EV. I had to take my R1T into the service center and got a Silverado EV as a rental.... in short, I could NOT WAIT to get my truck back. The Silverado EV has terrible sight lines-- you can't see out very well. It was sluggish. The DRIVER'S SEAT DID NOT MOVE UP...
  3. Anker Solix Everfrost 2

It looks pretty big. I doubt it could fit in the frunk trunk, but of course the best way to tell is get the measurements to check. That said, it would be very heavy to lift up over the front of the truck into the frunk. And the same to get it out. Also, the heat buildup would be crazy. The...
  4. Pismo Beach CA RAN is operational!l!

That's great, but unfortunately it doesn't matter if their prices are still significantly higher than everyone else.
  5. Advice on Tonneau Cover, rubber mat for bed and tailgate pad (for bikes)?

Don't know about tonneau covers. For tailgate pad, get the Rivian one. Best option hands down. It's such an amazing thing to have a bespoke tailgate pad made and fitted for your particular truck. No brainier. For bed mat/cover, this commercial floor mat from home Depot fits the width perfectly...
  6. Bait and switch - frustrated with inability to use music apps without Connect+

Streaming requires a data connection. Why would Rivian keep paying for our data usage? You're free to use your phone's data via a hotspot if you wish.
  7. RJ: Tri-Motor R1's Deep Sand Performance Being Further Developed. It's Incredible :)

I am not worried about new versions being more capable. In fact, if be worried if they weren't. I would just think having one dedicated motor per wheel would be more advantageous in soft sand than having the front wheels share a motor
  8. RJ: Tri-Motor R1's Deep Sand Performance Being Further Developed. It's Incredible :)

Are they implying the tri-motor performance in sand will be better than the gen1 quad motor's performance?
  9. Low cost full size spare solution

People are usually selling the 21-in road wheels individually on a forums. You can get one for like 200 bucks
  10. Electrafi (Teslafi) now available for Rivian

That statement should have been preceded with an "if" ... I fixed it now
  11. Electrafi (Teslafi) now available for Rivian

It's more about trusting that they have good enough security protections in place to prevent any data leaking or hacks. This could potentially be a lucrative Target for hackers, and if the developer hasn't taken the proper security cautions, your car's credentials could be in the hands of...
  12. Gen2s Missing Onboard Air Compressors

You can still use a 12 volt air compressor in any of the accessory ports. Or use a battery powered one.
  13. RJ listen to what Jason Cammisa has to say about the 2nd gen R1S / R1T / R3

CarPlay's navigation would override Rivian's native navigation, correct? For this reason alone, it wouldn't make sense. Rivian wants to be able to control the navigation experience. Add waypoints based on charging, etc.
  14. Biggest downgrade for Gen2 R1?

What everyone else said, plus no fog lights. I've used them a handful of times and I'm glad I have them
  15. I just got an r1s recently but i am very bummed to find out that there is a refresh with lots of improvements coming

I hate to break it to you, but every single car model, if the manufacturer is doing it right, will improve and get better and get new features over time. So I'm not sure what you would expect? Especially for a rapidly iterating nascent EV auto manufacturer. I'm assuming you got a great lease...
