Yes, makers will tailor their bms resulting in different charging curves. I honestly think some like to push a peak rate for a bit to show the customer the fastest charge rate, even if it results in a less area under the curve for a given time.
But the biggest question is how to make money from...
I understand that, my point being the charging reliability and overall experience trump's the benefit of a higher voltage charge.
The first thing that needs to be dealt with before anyone starts touting 800v system is dependable charging as advertised.
The problem is, it's not a profitable venture. That's why there is no build out. How does someone make money having to buy and install the fast chargers where installation procurement cost about $80k per charger.... In addition this is not what the future of travel should be, having to stop for...
These market "gurus" lol, always do that. Cramer was saying to buy Tesla at the top, back in October 2021 at roughly $450. The guy is an idiot. Even if RIVN declines further, it doesn't mean his call was correct. Only a market clown issues a sell after a 80% drop.
Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow or next year however many people thought Rivian was a great buy at $100.
Sentiment goes both ways...There's no guarantee it will go up 95%. Bear markets can be brutal and can cut this stock in half or more or even wipe it out entirely.
Only play with...
The issue is some are trying to fight the Fed.
The air was let out on EV stocks a while ago. Did anyone really think Tesla was worth over a trillion...Or Rivian over $100B....
When we were considering a Rivian this was a major major issue was the time. Also my wife and I watched some Youtube vidoes to see if it was even viable in practice. We watched All Electric Family and noted they were trying to tow a Airstream. Things we had to consider was that not only is the...
Agree, if you watch the All EV Family on Youtube they have nothing but issues but they try and downplay and gloss over the issues.
Bottom line, if you want to tow and roadtrip just get a hybrid gas or all all gas.
I agree. I never thought of Doug as some worthy reviewer of cars/trucks. My opinion is he points out the quarks and whatnots on vehicles for entertainment. He has a large audience, but IMO that's because he's entertaining...I wouldn't base my buying decision on his reviews.
It's always interesting when this type of question comes up and everyone pulls the safety card...Yet, I see plenty of drivers (any probably many here) playing on their phone while driving 70+.
I'm still looking to purchase at $15. I do agree that it would seem hard pressed to see Rivian valued at $60B again.
Good idea to average down just be careful.
Looking at history in regards to momentum trades, once the momentum ends, it's very unlikely the stock recovers, as many holders have...
Sorry about that but thanks for the report.
Can you estimate what the longest wait time was? Over an hour? Were the chargers close to anything worthwhile to do or eat at? Sometimes it's impossible to do that as you have to babysit the charger and make sure it doesn't crap out.
This thing is very oversold. Looks like capitulation is also hitting Tesla finally. Who would have argued that Tesla was worth 1.3T or Rivian was worth 120B is beyond me.
Both of these stocks are going to bounce hard when bears cover their shorts. Longer term I'm not bullish on either and still...
