Woof, there's a lot of comments since yesterday ? . Thanks all for the thoughts and prayers as NE5SIE gets an insurance claim and fixed! Or do I just pay for it and not get the marred report on Carfax...? ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
That said, someone asked what the vehicles were around me. The Mazda looks like...
An officer was assigned to my case and asked me to upload videos. I attached the rear license plate video, truck bed video, mirror video, and front grille video. Each one shows him in a different angle getting all three vehicles. Let's see if she can nab the perp or something.
That would be the sharpest lighter ever if it was able to create the giant scratch that pierced the clear coat in a 2" section ?. I think the beginning part (about 12-14") of scratch can be buffed out.
Thanks all.
Agreed. For now though, I put Every.Single.Detail. of the guy in the police report I just finished submitting. If they need video, I can happily provide with my soon-to-be-mine USB-C thumb drive. Why can't we just upload to S3 or something instead of buying a silly thumb drive...
I didn't even realize my truck was keyed until I took it in for the recall just a bit ago. I stepped out and saw a big scratch. Looked at the video and BAM! Clear as day.
I went to dinner 2 nights ago (Urban Farmer, epic steakhouse). The guy keyed the Mazda behind me and the Audi in front of...
I had the truck sitting for a few weeks while I was in South America, and only experienced the normal drain. The vehicle was āasleepā, although I imagine if someone got the RF right, they could trigger it to turn on (my remote itself has an on/off switch, so I canāt accidentally enable the...
Woops, didnāt see your message. Iāll go take a photo of the frunk and where I placed the box, since it would have been quite difficult to tuck it behind the tub IMHO. If you manage, take better photos than I did!
Off topic: Iām in Salida, CO charging for free at a Rivian DCFC after charging for...
September 2022 delivery. 13,000 miles. Original 20ā ATs rotated at 7800 miles, starting to get tire roar⦠would love a set of Falken AT3Ws if they had a size/load that fit.
Yeah, it allows for the transmitter to send 4 separate RF signals to the box. Of course, I'd have to wire more stuff in the rather cramped area...
That would be sweet if I wanted to add a rocker switch in the cabin. I opted for wireless/remote so I could keep the cabin clean :)
Hmm... I didn't take many photos. In retrospect I suppose I should have for posterity and these moments. It was pretty simple though. There are both positive and negative terminals, so I just wired directly to those on the secondary battery.
Finished the wiring job in a few hours. Essentially removed the clipped plastic sections around the frunk tub, the tub itself, and got access to the 12v batteries.
I wired my remote switch directly to the secondary (passenger side) battery, and tucked the 4-channel control box under the frunk...
Also I have orange covers for wintery things.
Nah, I'm thinking about just using my old wiring harness with remote fob I used to use on my Grand Cherokee. It worked well for years, so why improve something that worked well already. I'm just going to wire them straight to one of the 12V...
I ordered the DCE pod light mount kit and finally installed them this evening. Pretty simple to get the brackets on. Now have my Diode Dynamics SS3 Proās on there. Just need to find a good harness with remote⦠or determine how to wire them into the cabin.
Also I have orange covers for wintery...
Sounds good! I think Iāll come back out next month for a week or so. TBD which week. I come down to hang out with siblings and family while working remote, so Iād be available throughout that week!
Darn, just saw this post. I live in Denver and am returning from another trip down to Tucson now actually. If no one offers by the time I come down again, Iāll be your huckleberry. I do the trip through show low and come in from Oracle/Globe. I go to the foothills, so OV would be a quick stop...
