I like how the first one up was a dual motor doing fine on the stair stepper. That proves that even the dual motors are very capable off road.
I hope Gen3's offer a diff locker option. That would make it even better.
It looks like the new V2 Roll up tonneaus are going on now.
My truck is up in Sheperdsville service center getting it installed (replacing the 2nd failed pez dispenser tonneau). The service manager told me this will be the first roll up retro fit they are doing. All warranty replacements will...
There are enough gen1 R1’s out there with comma that I doubt that is the case. Sounds more like a case of not finding the actual cause of what was presenting as a motor issue and blaming the easiest thing that is outside the warranty coverage.
The service center told me to “do what I need to do” to clear the slats since the appointment got delayed and they have pictures of it being bound up… and the entire unit is being replaced.
Here is what I did:
I took a ratchet strap and hooked on to the slat that was off the track. By hand, I...
Has anybody successfully removed the Rivian PTC? The SC just reached out and delayed my appointment to middle of September, but I need to use my truck bed. Apparently, this is a two-technician job so that rules out mobile. Rivian also will not share the instructions to remove it myself.
I am...
32’ car hauler hooked up to my 2024 R1T Dual motor.
Mileage was 1.2 miles/kWh under 45mph and .8 at 70mph
this is last night at the new Tesla chargers in Kingston, TN just off I-40.
I paid .29/KwH during the off peak period.
My experience is Discount Tire is a little hit and miss on tire balancing. In fact, when I use them for rotations, I specifically have to tell them NOT to balance if I’m not getting a vibration.
They proactively balanced my wife’s car without it needing it last year and had to go back for a...
Honestly, the OP needs to make sure the insurance is paid up, park it in the hood and "drop" the key cards in the street nearby and go to dinner... and don't look back.
It's overly modified to the point it is not supportable and has apparently turned into a giant, overpriced, wet turd. He is...
From my understanding, the housing of the unit itself is prone to cracking, which is where the leak is actually coming from. It is exacerbated by high humidity... a small crack in the housing and an undersized drain valve with high condensation ends up making a puddle.
@Riviot is there anything...
So this just happened. This is the second PTC that has been installed on this truck… this one went on earlier this year when the first one failed.
luckily, I have a service center visit this Thursday to redo the wet floor mat HVAC issue again.
I hope they start installing v2 PTC’s so this will...
Crazy thing for me is last October, I had this issue and the service center changed out the HVAC and all the carpets in the front.
Back in April, I went to the service center for something unrelated and they added in the HVAC drain plug for a service bulletin.
4 weeks ago, my carpet started...
Mine is going back for the same issue… again… next Thursday. A friend of mine just took his in today. Apparently the HVAC boxes are hard to come by right now due to supply chain / tariff constraints.
I hope they figure a way out to fix this.
Open a service ticket and order a new one. They are just under $200 from Rivian. Part C200120511-B.
Its not cheap, but probably easier than the hassle of retrofitting a broken one since they are designed as a one time use item.
The new ones are a harder rubberized material.
I wish one of the...
