If you can't get a hold of Rivian and able to truck it along to Bellevue in Conserve mode, that's something that I would do, at the very least to make it there so that you're not waiting it out any longer in Montana.
Goal: Make it to Missoula, then Spokane, then Ellensburg, then you can either...
That's a great point. If they could just FWD it all the way to Bellevue, that would be the easiest option for sure. There are plenty of charging stops along i90 so that's a non issue as well.
Best of luck to them. Hope it all works out.
Exactly this. It's really apparent that a lot don't realize the significance of a heat pump, but it's understandable if one lives in warmer climates.
It's like if someone lives in tornado alley down south, someone up in the NW region will never understand the importance of having a storm...
Sorry to hear about the situation. Does your insurance cover towing? Were you able to reach anyone at the Bellevue service center?
I wouldn't continue driving on it either if it's really bad, but I understand that you may not have a choice depending on where you're at exactly.
Just thinking...
This is a very great topic and thread, but OP if you could update your choices to add Premium, along with editing the examples for Luxury that'd be great.
I couldn't vote, because there wasn't a Premium choice.
In my opinion, the only one that I would consider Luxury in your (Luxury - Acura...
How funny my Wife and I just finished watching your video. Keep them coming! They're great.
Random question, but how many watts are your tea kettle and electric stove top rated at? Our kettle is rated at 1500w on the dot, which is the max output of the outlets on the Rivian. Have you guys ever...
Just saw that there was a dedicated thread for this.
For me I just can't unsee it. The new rims look like walmart hub caps, both with the cover on or off.

I can't unsee it. They look like cheap walmart chrome painted wheel caps.
My Post #310 visualized.
Like I've said before, a good design to compliment the amazing R1S doesn't cost a dime. Whoever designed these needs to be fired.
Having removable 2nd row seats would be great. They'd definitely have to make the 3rd row seats modular as well for a flat floor. If they did this, it would cost them virtually nothing to add this as an option to choose having 3rd row seating or not, if the seats were modular.
I think they'll...
I agree.
10. Retractable powered sun shade cover. (It's really unacceptable to not have this in a $100K vehicle, ICE or EV.)
11. 800v Architecture.
12. Better 2nd Row seat adjustability, especially after locking it back into place after letting in the 3rd row passenger.
This aligns with the massive $124K-$140K loss per vehicle in Q3/4 of 2022 and onward, for having to sell it at the voucher prices. Those were big hits on top of a big loss.
There's no other auto maker I want to see succeed more than Rivian.
Great point. That makes sense. Better deals, more efficient process, less components, less time to produce etc.
"Scaringe added that the upgrades are “contractual.” Rivian isn’t “hoping or wishing costs were lower,” these have been negotiated with suppliers over the last 24 months.
Rivian...
The example in my post shows where a lease would make sense and make no difference for those that are in and out 2-3 years. It's interesting because a lot of times people (as you've pointed out) don't factor in the "happiness factor."
For those against leasing would say, well if you jumped into...
True, but some people think Pugs aren't ugly. Even if they come to the realization that it is they probably won't go buy another dog.
When buying a vehicle at this level, it's fair to say that it shouldn't put one in a position to have to spend more to buy a new set of wheels.
The design could...
What in the world? Those wheels are so ugly. Absolutely horrific.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder? Goodness if it makes one feel better, I guess.
Your reply is great and stood out. This should be stickied.
I've never been a fan of traditional leases with bad money factors etc.
But for those always chasing refreshes, a lease makes more sense for them.
2-3 years in and out and always jumping to the next. The company will love you for...
