I got the LT3s (non-studded) on my R1T about a month ago and have been very impressed with them so far. We've had multiple feet of snow over the last couple weeks and I haven't had any issues and they are an improvement over the stock ATs.
The Nokians are a tiny bit louder, but only noticeable...
I just had a similar issue. I usually hand wash or use the self serve area at the car wash, but this time I took it through the regular wash. At the end when the dryer jets came on, water starting dripping out the hinge area of the passenger sun visor. Never had any issues prior in rain or when...
When playing a playlist in Spotify prior to the latest OTA, the list of songs that you could scroll through would display the artist name and song name. After the OTA the list now only displays the song name. Please change this back to how it was with artist name!
I'd keep the 20" AT tires and get snow tires put on for winter. I live up in the mountains in a ski town and that's what I did. I just had Nokian LT3s put on and they make a huge difference.
Maybe in the future when it's easier to buy a second set of wheels, there are more tire choices in...
My tire shop said as long as it’s the same tire size they always set pressure to what it says on the door sticker, and that’s what they did on the Nokian LT3s I just had put on.
I got my Nokian Hakka LT3 275/65/20s installed yesterday and we had just enough snow on the ground to give them a quick test. A few initial observations:
On dry pavement they don't seem any louder than the Pirellis. In fact, a couple rattles that I usually hear in the cabin on certain bumpy...
I just had them put on today. Haven't driven enough to give a detailed report but they didn't feel any harsher on first drive than the Pirelli's. We'll see on my way home tonight when I hit some roads with uneven pavement. They are certainly a little louder than the Pirelli's but it's more of a...
For those of you with snow tires and the full size spare, did you order a 5th snow tire to swap out on the spare? Or just rolling with the AT on the spare?
What's not on that list for the Nokians are the 275/65 R20 Hakka LT3s. I think that list is just passenger car tires and the LT3 are light truck tires. Those are the ones I bought for my R1T. I got them at Amazon but here they are on Simple Tire...
I ordered the Nokian Hakka LT3s and I'm having them installed in a few days. If I lived in an area where we only had occasional snow or just a few weeks a year, I would probably roll with the OEM Pirelli ATs. We've had some significant storms so far and overall they were pretty good once I got...
The Pirelli ATs are so damn hard I struggle keeping them at 48 as it is, but do to maximize range. I'm sure all that firmness helps support the truck for 3 seasons but I think they're just too hard for our winters.
I've never watched tire pressure in a vehicle more than I have in the R1T.
I don't know how accurate this is, but an online tire pressure calculator gave me the following (I couldn't choose R20 for the OEM, so I picked R18, but the Load Capacity matches.):
OEM Size (275/65R18 SL) Load Capacity: 2756 lbs. @ 48 psi.
Passenger type tires are fitted with a 10% overage in...
I asked about this at the service center and they couldn’t remember the brand but thought it came in 55 gallon drums…which makes me think it might be the one referenced above:
https://www.amazon.com/AutoGeneral-Glass-Cleaner-5620/dp/B01MZ5AWI2?th=1&psc=1
I’d grab the gallon size and test it out...
It stinks that there are just so few options for winter tires in the 22" with the proper load rating - looks like Pirelli made these 115 load Scorpions specifically for the Rivian because all their other Scorpions in this size are 111.
I don't know anything about this website but they say they...
