If you reserved in 2018 and you have a delivery date on the first half of 2023, there is no way my delivery window is the same as yours because I reserved in 2021.
You really believe you’re going to receive your Explore R1S in Oct-Dec of this year after only reserving in Aug 2021? I would estimate 2024 at the earliest. People started reservations in 2019.
I reserved my Adventure R1S in Oct 2021 last year. Rivian is telling me I will receive mine in one year. In the first half of 2023. Given that R1S haven’t been producing, I really think that timeline is optimistic.
So this is for all people who reserved the car before March 1, 2022 and not just customers who were working with a guide to order the car?
Does that mean I will get the $78k price R1S with the large battery and quad motor (0-60 in 3 seconds) and not get charged extra for the Ocean interior?
They said Pre order not reservation. So I was confused if my reservation meant preorder. I thought preorder was if the Rivian guide reached out and started working with you already, which they have not.
The email from Rivian today states that they apologize for the misleading information and will honor preorder prices if you reserved before March 1. I reserved Oct 2021 so I guess I’m not price locked.
So they are saying standard battery pack is now 2024 delivery. But I changed the configuration to large battery + dual motor and it still says 2024 delivery. I changed the configuration to large battery + quad motor and it still says 2024 delivery. So it doesn’t matter what version you buy??
Totallly upset. They said large battery pack was included in the Adventure Package. Now they are charging $6000 for the large battery. They said 0-60 in 3 seconds. Now they are charging $6000 for quad motor. That’s a $12,000 difference. Ocean interior was free and now it’s $2000. That’s a...
I got an email today. Prices went up on R1S. I knew it would happen. On my original configuration, it stated large battery pack is included. Now it is $6k extra for the larger battery. Standard battery is 2024 delivery. Adventure package increased by $3k. The claimed 0-60 in 3 seconds you...
I would like a useable third row seat as well. We aren't sold on Model X. The build quality is just bad. I am not paying $75-90k for a used Model X. So in the interim, Porsche Cayenne eHybrid is a front runner. Range Rover PHEV is second just because the pricing is a bit higher, although it...
It doesn’t have to be electric plug in but we like larger SUVs. I’m leaning toward a Kia Telluride as I read good reviews. They are 8 months out and high markup in CA so thinking of ordering out of state and getting it shipped. I haven’t test drove one yet so anyone have experience, I’d love...
This is replacing my vehicle which is costing me a ton of money in repairs. I’m debating whether to keep throwing money fixing this car or just buying something affordable until the R1S comes. A part of me doesn’t want to buy anything since a year will come by quickly. But honestly what if it...
Given that I reserved pretty late in 2021, I don’t think I am actually going to get my R1S in 1-1.5 years from now. If they haven’t even started production of the R1S, how would they get mine in basically a year? Anyone else having doubts?
I thought the standard chargers that come with the car are the same 240V as the ones for appliances? They are slow but still charge the car in 8-10 hrs which would be fine overnight.
I received an email indicating that Adventure trims with larger battery packs will be delivered in 2022. I don’t see an option to get the larger battery on my R1S. Does the R1S only come with one battery?
I just reserved in Oct. I think I’m going to have to buy a car since my current German car is giving me tons of issues. I don’t think it will make it to 2023. I’m guessing I will take delivery in 2024 so looking at cars now. Even the Genesis GV80 want $70k!
