I enlarged it on my screen and I still see slats. I think it's just the filming angle and Instagram's crappy resolution that make it look like the slats are gone.
But, I could also be wrong! Time will tell.
Just installed this myself after seeing @thebwk pictures.
It takes a bit of finagling to get installed correctly, maybe 15 minutes of total effort.
Looks and charges great, even with my relatively thick case on my phone. Huge upgrade from the stock charging pad.
Nice job @Sojhinn !
Happy to help! The drive is a Samsung T7 1TB.

It's interesting that the "Incident" Cam uses the over-the-bed cam for rear view recording, while the continuous recording "Drive" Cam uses the rear bumper camera.
I'm surprised that they chose two different implementations that are essentially doing the same thing.
Maybe I'm missing something.
Strange that they're not using the windshield camera. That would seem like the better, less distorted option. But what do I know, I'm sure there's a good reason that they aren't.
I dropped mine off with them today for a tire rotation and to see if I can get the clunk fixed. I mentioned the FSAM to the tech, and I think they'll apply it to my vehicle, but they haven't sent me an updated work order yet, so TBD.
And completely agree, we're incredibly lucky to have the...
Sorry to be dense, but how would one know if they have degradation?
My estimated range is always different, depending on recent driving patterns, latest OTA updates, etc.
So, where do I look to see if I have any degradation?
I'm pretty sure that in the email a while back they said they'd be updating all existing power tonneaus with the new version. I'm still counting on that. I'm sure they'll start with the ones that are currently not working though.
The Reddit Rivian Responds this week has some mildly interesting updates I thought were worth sharing. For those who don't know, Rivian provides some direct answers to questions every couple of weeks over on Reddit, so these aren't rumors, but real answers from the company.
RJ promised that...
Oof. I did not enjoy that.
3 minutes of crass, unfunny jokes followed by 20 minutes of no real depth or insight. He spent more time trying to count the number of "Rivians" on the truck than actually reviewing the vehicle.
You won't miss anything if you skip it.
Glad you got it fixed...it looks perfect. Will keep this thread pinned in case I need it in the future.
Curious how expensive it was. No need to share if you don't want to though. Can you claim with insurance and just pay your deductible?
