Admittedly, my question/comment was a little tongue in cheek, but I am still curious how the mechanics of the purchase would happen. Has there been/are there any other rebates that depend on AGI out there?

If it's a point of sale price reduction - how will the AGI limits be imposed? Hypothetically, it's apparently quite easy to make a PDF of the front page of a 1040 and alter/amend numbers....

So which manufacturer is the offending one?

Congratulations on your Rivainniversary! I'm also a 6/19 pre-order, albeit for an Explore R1S, so I'm guessing I'll be celebrating 4+ years before actually getting to purchase - talk about delayed gratification!

Wow - looking at the poll results - that's a rather large spread of anticipated dates! Not sure what that says about the current state of hopes and expectations.... :)

So I have a fiscally responsible (aka cheapskate) R1S Explore edition preordered (6/19), for which the delivery window is 1st half of 2023. Given all that's going on, when do you think first deliveries will actually occur? Optimistically, I could see some of the current issues (supply chain etc)...

Count me in as an R1S Explore cheapskate. Keeping the total price to < $75K makes it a whole lot more palatable, and gives me some breathing room to compare/contrast with the Lyric, Buzz, and other SUV, people movers in the next year...

I changed my config to the dual motor R1S and the long range pack to get to a price of ~$82k, albeit with a delivery date of 2024. So in the meantime, I'll be taking long hard looks at the BMW iX, Genesis GV80, VW Buzz, and any other SUV/minibus/people carrier with a 300mile plus range that...

Also consider a 10-90% charge and we get to ~$46. Seems ok to me for once in a while fast, not at-home charging...

It may not be an SUV, but the VW Buzz will be appearing in 2023, so as an Explore pre-order, I'll be comparing and contrasting these two in a year's time...

Come 2022/early 2023, and my R1S isn't with me, then if the VW Buzz has a 300mi + range, I might have some long thoughts about which vehicle to go with...

The only (pretend) cross-shopping I'm doing is between the R1S and the VW Buzz, which won't be on our shores until 2023....
