20” wheels are smaller but the actual Pirelli AT *tire* is bigger at 34” (versus 33” Pirellis you currently have on 22” wheels). I’m guessing your wife is like mine and hates the height, so she’d be pretty upset if you got even bigger tires!

From the older post, it seemed like THD is very important for EV charging. The description for the above generator specifically seems to address that (see below). Would love to hear your experience if/when you are brave enough to experiment for us!

I was looking up the exact same thing last night and the consensus seems to be that it is doable, but very quick diminishing returns to plan for this type of emergency. You have to bring the fuel source and generator “just in case,” which will have some impact on range. And best case scenario...

Just another thought. You could also just drop a can of large tire Fix-a-flat, but the caveat is always that some (most?) shops won’t repair a tire if this has been used. Still won’t help if the tire shreds, but when maybe the shredded tire/wheel will fit in the well! Lol.

OTA wheel update “no go” for me. Rivian support called me today to follow-up to see if the push worked. I also tried resetting the the system to see if that might trigger something. Guess we’ll just have to keep waiting. Hopefully OP has better luck.

My eyes did wander over to my bit set…lol. But the two other positions are reinforced inside the hollow shaft, so drilling a new hole probably would not be equivalent. And you’d have to hack off the first third of the hitch shaft. ??‍♂️
