  1. First tire rotation completed -- my experience

Yeah did both of those. Front ones didn’t push in and taps and swipes did nothing at the shop. At home tap worked fine.
  2. First tire rotation completed -- my experience

I meant to get it done at 5,000 miles but trips etc got in the way. After a couple road trips past 5K, I. had the tires (20" ATs) rotated (no spare so 4 tire version) just shy of 7K miles. Wear looked minimal and fine. I don't off road, so far just all purpose, conserve (only on long highway...
  3. Acura ZDX is a Google-powered premium EV with 325 miles of range and a $60K price tag

I put over 200 miles on an Acura MDX. Good reliable car. The infotainment system was a hot mess. Multiple independent systems, buttons everywhere etc. It was the constant oil changes and services that annoyed me the most. I was putting 30k miles on it a year so lots of maintenance and $600/month...
  4. ChargeSmartMA (for National Grid Customers in MA) rules

Yeah happens a lot with them. Generally its a false alarm but they dont seem interested in fixing it. Note that they didnt do the API to the Rivian, they use a third party.
  5. Electrafi (Teslafi) now available for Rivian

Using the CLIs above you can get a daily nag (if you're able to install and add to to cron).
  6. Hitch Receiver Protection

Someone else recommended this one which worked for me on the R1T and I could still attach the safety chains. CZC AUTO Hitch Receiver Pin Lock,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M6W71JJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
  7. Electrafi (Teslafi) now available for Rivian

For your own poking at the Rivian api without handing credentials to a third party you can try these: https://github.com/the-mace/rivian-python-api https://github.com/the-mace/rivian-ruby-api Both have simple command line interfaces. Disclosure: I made them but they’re open source. I also...
  8. Dogs and Rivians ?

My puppy (8 months now) hates car rides ?. We're trying different positions in the car, anti nausea medicine et. We got him to stop puking the whole way but he still drools everywhere and is miserable. He's staying home (with a babysitter) for this weekend's trip. I got the @EV Sportline board...
  9. R1T Under Rear Seat Cargo Covers & Dog / Pet Decks have lauched! New at EVSportine.com

Maybe too much to ask but would be nice for an access door on the side with storage underneath so the whole thing doesnt have to be removed (which involves flipping up both seats etc) if you want to grab something small.
  10. EV maker Lucid slashes prices of Air sedan as part of offer amid heating competition

Im on their mail lists. They seem to be getting increasingly frantic to move something. If the product was needed then in the early days they shouldnt be begging for orders. We have a friend that got one, lots of early build quality issues. I'm not a fan of the two tone color thing or the...
  11. Rivian API

Just a caution on some of these parameter names: {'data': {'getLiveSessionData': {'isRivianCharger': None, 'isFreeSession': None, 'vehicleChargerState': {'value': 'charging_ready', 'updatedAt': '2023-08-06T11:44:19.999Z'}, 'chargerId': None, 'startTime': None, 'timeElapsed': None...

  15. Rivian API

Nice! Just added to my project (https://github.com/the-mace/rivian-python-api) and it shows 127 for my R1T (March 2023). Thought they were supposed to be 135 kW? % bin/rivian_cli --state --privacy Vehicle State: Power State: sleep Drive Mode: everyday Gear Status: park Odometer: 5345.6 mi...
  16. Two drivers — which one gets priority?

Never had the foot thing on any vehicle but the Tesla FOB is very reliable. I can set it not to do crazy things at home and then do the door handles pop away from home. Works fine every time. PaaK would be great if it was reliable. The keycard would work for me too if it auto-locked and was...
  17. Two drivers — which one gets priority?

Unfortunately the Rivian FOB is pretty large. The Tesla one is small and works well (I guess the 3/Y people mostly dont have them so perhaps people dont know). Im used to keeping the Tesla one in my pocket at all times and Tesla gave me 2. Rivian gave me 2 key cards (no auto entry and worse...
  18. Two drivers — which one gets priority?

My truck unlocks while i'm mowing the backyard near-ish to the garage. From my perspective the range is too far. On the other hand it can be oddly sluggish at times even when i'm right next to the truck.
  19. Two drivers — which one gets priority?

Hmm, not sure if they use the distances correctly but that also assumes you can approach the truck from different locations. In my garage you have to both approach from drivers side. So perhaps it depends on who gets there first, or who is there when the doors unlock, or who is closest to the...
  20. Two drivers — which one gets priority?

Other than killing/limiting the app there's no real way for the truck to know which PaaK is the one in the drivers seat.
