I'm guessing the phone charger isn't something that the service centers just have on-hand & that it would need to be shipped to them after being ordered. I'm guessing that eventually it will make it's way to the gear store (which I believe the gen2 version was available as well).
Most notification settings can be handled with your device's notification settings.
That being said, with my phone (Google Pixel 9a), any additional notifications (door open, charging session complete, etc.) pop up & make a sound even with the silent/always there "connected" notification present.
I gave the brakes a good slam yesterday to hopefully rule that out. Still noticed the behavior today driving into work, minus the lurches when backing up. But I did have the brake assist on still. Will turn it off tomorrow morning and try to replicate.
That all being said, I never noticed this...
To my understanding, lidar can do both - it can store things for datasets to be shared, but is also useful for real-time situations for the vehicle using it to react to things.
I'm pretty sure that Rivian doesn't even have inventory of anything but the new version of the tonneau. If someone with the old one has something that breaks on it, they get a new one (if under warranty).
Guess I didn't yell enough about it to Microsoft when they decided to cancel it. 🤣
I do wish that the Zune library software supported FLAC files, as it was a really, really great library management program... but time marches on.
Been listening in since you linked it, and it seems like a pretty bog-standard politically-connected event.
Granted, the politicians involved seem to be ones that are pretty pro-EV, but it's nice to see them commenting on how Rivian seems to give back to the community.
One person that talked...
I loved my ZuneHD, thank you very much!
For real though, the music-listening world has massively changed since then, even if I'm one of those that still buys direct downloads of music, or even CDs & Vinyl (then rips them to my file server). There's a multitude of ways to listen to music anymore...
It's something that technically works, but it's super-harsh on the motors (as it's essentially just regen braking). Hence why it's not officially supported.
I'm beginning to lean this way, as I've never smashed the brake pedal in this truck...... but my wife has. We use a nearby freeway onramp as a 'air dryer' after washing the truck (and for having fun with 0-60, even in the bog standard dual motor), and she had to slam on the brakes upon spotting...
It's gonna be a matter if getting familiar with what chargers are available & knowing how far away they are (if this is a route that you will be traveling often).
I wanted to get a feel from owners real quick on some driving behavior I've noticed in the last week or so before putting in a service request...
My 2023 Gen1 R1T DM is currently on 2026.07, and I've noticed that there's a slight lurch when coming to the final stop from regen braking - it's...
Fair enough, although right now we are all guessing when it comes to R2's ability to charge with the particular Tesla mobile/portable charger, unless there have been posts from someone with a 2026 R1 (which would have a NACS port) reporting this issue.....
As far as I know, that's the only way to change charging stops while on-route.
Like @Mellowyellow mentioned, what your default arrival % is set to will be a factor as well. I'm comfortable enough with my truck that I have mine set to 10% no matter what I'm doing (freeway driving, towing, etc).
My old Gen2 Tesla Mobile connector works just fine with my Gen1 R1T & an adapter to J1772. It goes red at first, but after about 5-10 seconds goes green and electricity starts flowing.
I've not seen any third-party adapter manufacturers making ones for either version of the Rivian Portable...
