I do the same, turn off climate when I get out. This saves a lot of extra climate time running when you're near the vehicle. And I don't check via the app, so it isn't waking all the time. Drain hasn't bothered me at all, but I haven't actually watched to see where it's at. (This is my first EV...
Haven't read the thread but figured I'd throw my opinion out there. Fun! Life is for adventures, and this is just another one. This is my first EV and have found ABRP to be great with trip planning and not to trust the truck's thoughts on navigation (at least within cities). And the ABRP and...
Oh no! Always glad to hear you’re all ok. Interesting how that bed gets bent up like that in all the rear enders. Hope the insurance process is a smooth one. We opted for full replacement insurance too, that pre-March pricing sealed that.
I can't believe you got in there, man are you lucky! I have a habit of always (ie when I remember) turning off the climate control manually when I leave the truck. Figure one day it may save me a big boat of trouble.
I'd still go for manual, one less thing to break. I also would have opted for manual vents if it were an option. Haven't had any problems, but more things to break, means more things will break.
The Chevron stations are all free at the moment (150 kW), good place to start! But there are only a couple of them around. Otherwise, there are a bunch of networks you can use, PlugShare has been a good resource for me. Lots of options, but most are around 50 kW. PetroCanada is another option...
FWIW, I've been very happy with the quad/large though if all else was equal a dual/max would have been my preference on paper. Have a done a couple of mini road trips and my range anxiety disappeared pretty quickly with a few mins of planning prep (this is my first EV). I'm definitely not...
Thanks for posting, good quality footage. One suggestion - next time record it from a different location so you don't share your home address with the world...
Have there been any rumours about when we'll see Rivian start putting any chargers up north of the 49th? Can't imagine it's in their top 50 fiscal priorities at the moment.
I didn't even bother setting up or using PAAK. Too many issues. I have proximity on the FOB (I'm old school enough I'm fine to use it), have a card in my wallet, and of course can use the app if need be. I'll always have at least two options available to me at any time. If I'm working around the...
