I have a 2023 R1T, coming up on 3 years ownership in March (is/was my first EV too). I haven't had any of the issues you mention and still LOVE driving this truck. Some folks have had some issues (as with all brands), Rivian has been really good about taking care of their customers. If I had to...
There are lots of us that consider ourselves to be as close to that list as possible. Almost three years in, finally did my first full reset last week! (It fixed the small problem that I had).
I have a '23 Gen 1 and it's always heated up nice and hot in the beginning, but then cools right off after a couple of minutes so it's just barely luke warm. This is fine for me as I don't like it too hot anyway, but if we ever had a really cold day I'm sure I'd appreciate a lot more heat from it.
I'd definitely agree. Overall winter conditions will have a much bigger impact than reduced regen (which is reduced by the cold anyway, regardless of drive mode).
Yup - pop her in snow mode, drive carefully as you would with any other vehicle, and enjoy the drive :)
I'm the same. I run the 21s outside the winter (they're holding up way better than I expected) and I have winter tires (I just got a set of 20" rims and do a full swap each season, and then I use one of my "off season" wheels/tires as my spare). I just put the winter tires on a few days ago...
Also for anyone reading this in the future - Vancouver snow is not like snow in most other places (I grew up in Winnipeg). We're all hills, and the snow is wet and slippery like you wouldn't believe.
If it doesn't snow, you won't need them. If it does, you'll wish you had them. Plan accordingly :) (Unlikely to snow, but not impossible). And as @TyeeMike said, 99% of people don't have them on right now, and all roads turn to chaos when it snows.
Mine is still behaving the same. I’m also in wet climate and it’s definitely from odd behaviour in the climate control, I don’t have any excess moisture in the cabin. I haven’t done a software update in a bit because of all the bug reports lately but hoping this gets resolved before winter...
I've noticed the same behaviour lately, which is new to me too. Wasn't an issue in the past. I haven't started to play with settings yet (hadn't tried recycling cabin air), but will start to play around when the fog comes back. But yeah, it heats up really fast when you press that defog button!
