I don't have anything else to add except that Gen 1's premium/Rivian audio on 2024 builds is different than both options in Gen 2. It has more speakers and a more powerful amp than even the Gen 2 premium audio.
Iāll actually be passing by Palm Springs next month heading to Joshua Tree with family, so if no one else closer comes in before then Iāll reach out to see if youāre available. Itāll probably be October 19th or 20th.
Based on the size of the rear sprocket (and the fact that derailleurs suck) it's almost certainly a single speed belt drive.
Everyone saying this is hideous is both correct and also hopefully missing the fact that an "e-mobility company" will likely have multiple models. Ugly but inexpensive...
I'm looking to buy a few aero covers (as few as one and as many as four) that are clean, unblemished, and specifically that still have the circular metal spring clip on the back that locks the center tabs into the wheel hub.
I actually like the look of the aero covers, but the spring clip that...
The front windows on Rivians and Teslas and honestly most new vehicles are laminated, aka "acoustic glass". You're not going to be able to shatter them and climb out even with a glass breaking tool, at least not quickly or easily.
The rear windows are tempered and easily breakable though. At...
Halloween mode is usually only around for the week of Halloween and disappears at midnight on the 1st. They want you to have fun, but not too much fun, and only in the way that the designer approves of (see RGB lighting presets.)
The display also shows full regen when you have brake assist turned on and the battery is at 100%, a circumstance where regen isn't actually possible and it's all mechanical braking. If the display is lying about regen when brake assist is enabled, why wouldn't it lie about regen when cruise...
Same here. I tested this on my Gen 1 before the blended braking update existed, and the pedal still moved then too. I used to live at the top of a half mile hill that lost about 400 feet of elevation. A relatively gentle but consistent descent. I drove down it manually using regen only and...
For those deep in the Comma community: has there ever been talk of a device that either integrates better behind the mirror (like a FitCamX) or uses the vehicle cameras to not require windshield mount at all?
Iād love to have actually-useful ADAS but I canāt stand having a big device hanging...
Does the brush bar just slide over the factory tow hooks then? How is it secured? I'd worry about it being wobbly if it's not bolting directly to the steel crash bar / bumper like the factory tow hooks do.
There's probably only one for purchase on the gear shop (when it gets there) - the V1.1 to go in the trucks that didn't get one at all or got the broken original one. The new roll-up will probably not be available for retrofit - consider they would have to literally cut a hole in the bottom of...
Cybertruck got a million reservations for a bulletproof truck with a starting price of $39,900 when there was little to no competition in the EV truck space. Then they tried to sell people a very much not bulletproof truck with a starting price north of $100k after 2-3 really good competitors...
On the Gen 1 at least, adaptive cruise control only uses the brake pads to moderate speed, no regen. If you use Driver+ often you will wear through your pads way faster than expected.
