  1. GM killed Brightdrop - hopefully helps RCV

We had a gas Sportsmobile pop-top camper van from 1996 to 2013. We'd switched both of our cars to EVs in 2009, and that camper van was the only gas vehicle we missed, so we have been waiting...and waiting...for an electric camper van to come along. When COVID hit in 2020 - and not yet knowing...
  2. GM killed Brightdrop - hopefully helps RCV

The A2124 was a really nice trailer. But we already sold ours.
  3. GM killed Brightdrop - hopefully helps RCV

It is the 600, with the big battery and all-wheel drive. I have put about 8,000 mi on it. I really like both the van and the conversion. Neither has been completely trouble-free, but once we get the kinks worked out I think we're going to enjoy this a lot.
  4. GM killed Brightdrop - hopefully helps RCV

I bought it converted from Grounded RVs. They had options, and things have changed with tariffs, but I paid 180k for the van plus conversion. There are many on brightdropforum building them out themselves.
  5. Review: I rode the ALSO TM-B E-Bike: Rivian Micromobility Startup’s First EV

I am not sure the bike is for me, but I do like a lot of the thought that has gone into it. It is always nice to see new options. Just a quick comment on the price - I have paid anywhere from $800 to $8,250 for an e-bike. I have also built one myself (I spent about $900, plus used several bits...
  6. GM killed Brightdrop - hopefully helps RCV

I am the camping type, and a Rivian owner, and indeed I kept hoping the EDV would get an option for more range. But they haven't, so i bought an AWD extended-range Chevy Brightdrop converted to a camper van. Other than the noise in the cab at freeway speeds, i like it a lot.
  7. Fun AI Images of Your Rivian - Try This and Post Yours

Dang. I was hoping for a window in my office.
  8. Nice chat with town home inspector

I completely agree that honesty about Bev experiences is helpful. However, my experience with public charging has been fantastic. And I have crossed the US and Canada multiple times. Maybe it has helped me that my wife insisted on stops every 200 miles even back in our gas car days. It...
  9. Tesla supercharger question: blocking a stall due to short cable

I've also charged many times with the Rivian and with something much bigger (a Chevrolet Brightdrop 600). Of course I always am a little concerned on the approach...but so far I have had zero problems. If there's room, you could park in a non-charging stall to the right of the chargers, or park...
  10. So at what mileage did everyone ditch these 20" inch Pirellis?

I didn't need off-road tires, so I swapped mine for some Michelin Defender LTX in the same size before 200 miles. I sold the almost-new oems for $1200. (This was over 2 years ago). I immediately noticed a better ride and less noise. And they wear very slowly. But their grip isn't great if you...
  11. Still getting strange looks

It likely depends on when you live...we had that sort of experience several times in the early days, but I think the last time my wife or I got funny looks or such a question was probably around 2017. There are a lot of EVs around here. My first time TRYING to get attention by raising the hood...
  12. Outlet setting not staying on

I didn't see the posts about it being software either. I sounds like you've used the AC outlets before, but just to be clear: Did your AC outlets ever work, or are you just now trying them for the first time? Mine didn't work when I bought my R1S - no error messages, I just had similar behavior...

Howdy. On the "About" tab it says that it's for Eastside Seattle.
  15. Windshield replacement in Seattle (east side) area

We've used Safelite mobile service based out of the Bellevue location twice for windshield replacements. Once was over 10 years ago, once was just a few months ago with my R1S. Both times worked out great for us. My wife also had a chip repair at the Bellevue location a couple of years ago and...
  16. In search of the best hitch-mount bike rack for R1S

I also have a Mach2. No hitch extender. The mach2 sits very snugly against my R1S, but keeps my big-handlebar bike plenty far away.
  17. Rivian preparing in-house V2H charger

I don't have a Delta Pro 3 or Ultra; just the regular Delta Pro where you need two main units and a connector to output 240V. (The Ultra was announced 2 days after I placed my order; I think I would have preferred that) Note that with my setup, you CAN input and output 120V simultaneously. You...
  18. Rivian preparing in-house V2H charger

I have an Ecoflow Delta Pro 2 system - for the reasons you mention. BUT: there is one very large caveat; something you won't learn from browsing Ecoflow's site. (I learned it from someone else on these forums, and from experience). You can indeed charge at 1440W from the Rivian, and (with my...
