Thanks much! We'll look for Sharkbite Bar & Grill if we end up in Turks and Caicos.
The instructors did go over things like approach angle, brakeover angle, and suspension setups, locking differentials, etc. I do think they could have established a more technical foundation before we headed out...
I drove my R1S this morning without infotainment. Worked just like the old Odyssey I had: it got me to and from where I needed to go. Didn’t need cameras, didn’t need nav, didn’t need engine telemetry. Just good old fashioned “turn around and look out the rear window” driving skills.
Great questions.
I didn't have underside cameras. I asked a veteran wheeler (30 years, runs the Houston wheeling club) about that. He said the problem with underside cameras is that it's very hard to understand what they're showing in 3D terms. They might confuse more than clarify. Of course...
Last weekend, my wife and I took an off-roading class in Bryan, TX, in our R1S. We got the R1S to open up new adventure possibilities: overlanding, primitive camping far from the grid, and off-roading. We decided it'd be a good idea to get professional training before we (mostly I) break...
I have the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 mounted on the R1S hitch. The inside bike hits the liftgate before it can be securely clamped down. The bike is a small 27.5" with a relatively narrow handlebar width.
What am I doing wrong?
Did the same. Sat in the garage in my R1S looking for it until I nearly fell asleep (granted I was already tired).
I hope they change the door locking sound to bats fluttering or something fun.
FG/FE here. I love it every time I get in it. Several friends complimented the FE and dark wood over the weekend. They said it feels relaxing and I agree.
I only had my R1S a few days before 2023.30 dropped, but the middle row air flow is really low. It doesn't matter how high I set the front vents, the middle row barely produces. I thought it might be a mechanical issue, but when I turn off the middle row vents then back on, they blast for a...
I saw my first R1T in Austin, TX this morning while driving. For a moment, I didn't understand what I was looking at because I was so surprised lol. I didn't have enough time to take a picture safely, unfortunately. Very exciting!
In case this isn't already old news, I spoke with Rivian support today who confirmed that R1S's are on the production line and are being delivered.
I'm slated to get mine in the first half of 2023.
