Only way to tell is to look at underbody for the shield, my LE has it but the owner had switched the wheels/tires to 22” dark sport, sent a photo from dealer to Rivian to confirm it had AT package.
Sound system was Meridian until I believe Q1 23’ when it changed to Elevation and then...
Those concerns are pretty minimal. I have had mobile do every minor thing in my driveway and my closest SC is nearly 200 miles away.
Build quality on both our Gen1 LE and Gen2 Tri are great. Obviously YMMV, but there’s significant bias to those who complain on the internet. Those that are...

Unfortunately, I don’t have much data from my old Tesla as I only used TeslaFi briefly.
To be clear, it’s not 75F. My Dual Standard got 2.45 between April-November with an average temperature of maybe 60. Unfortunately, under freezing temps are a real struggle for these batteries, you’ll recall Tesla had a similar issue when they rolled out their first LFP vehicles.
I will also...
Really? I have a TOU energy plan and we charge from 9pm-7am and that works fine for both our Gen1 Large and Gen2 Max at a consistent 10.7-11kwh charge (24-27mph) with a Tesla wall charger at 48amps.
I used autotempest. Hard to correct for the smaller features, since most 3rd party dealers don’t know much about Rivian, but you can find the VIN decoder post on here to find out most of the details.
Definitely check the user vehicle sale section of this forum as well!
Our R1S LE VIN 313 is...
Thanks for the write up. I think there’s also just a different demographic culture between the two brands, in general. Sure, we looked at the EV9, but we had a Kia Soul for 8 years, and while it was problem free, it was also basically a golf cart. I couldn’t imagine spending $70k on a Kia. I...
To be fair, I bought this one used with 55k miles. I do not know how the prior owner drove it in the DC metro area traffic nightmare.
And, while your S pads and rotors lasted that long, it’s hugely variable with EV’s depending on road salt, etc, and generally the data shows anything from 70k+...
Yes, just the one, Zach, our New England mobile tech has one on hand to show folks that at least Gen1 Quads tend to wear down on the same brake in the same place.
Umm, what? Brakes wear down on the Rivian, regardless of regen braking, with a lot of mileage, particularly the front passenger ones. I’m having mobile do mine tomorrow (80k miles), without going to an SC and it’s going to be like $200. Did you get an actual work estimate for $2000?

Having had a Y previously, the ground clearance is pretty challenging for any rural area or imperfect roads/weather, so I wouldn’t want the R2 to be that low, personally.
We are in the same setup now! I drive the T and my wife drives the S for the kids. Once my eldest gets a car, might trade in the R1S for the R2 for my wife, but I will never get rid of the truck after owning it, most enjoyable vehicle I have ever driven.
