Back in Februrary 2024, I posted my first audio system calibration of my Gen 1 R1S Elevation. This forum responded hugely and requested Meridian measurements and recommendations. I didn’t have a Meridian vehicle, so @RivianBowerbird stepped up and donated several hours and his Gen 1 R1T Meridian...
I agree. My Gen 1 Elevation system sounds quite good. I measured its
performance and recommended EQ settings to improve it further. Link in my signature.
Thanks for asking this question!
@Snazzy Labs I did the analysis RWerksman references above and would add:
How are changes to the audio system QA’d? Are audio engineers listening to the results of software changes before OTAs roll out? The performance of the Elevation and Meridian systems...
Measured @RivianBowerbird 's Gen 1 R1T Meridian 2024.39.01 today. We learned several interesting things, including that Rivian engineers paid attention to this one. The Gen 1 R1T Meridian sounds great. Full analysis—and recommendations—to come.

My answer is the same. Pricey but each branch or door impact increases the value.
I accidentally scraped my front passenger fender against the garage door frame which left a big slash of white paint on the PPF. Came out with hot water and a Magic Eraser. Not sure that would have happened...
Yeah. I haven’t driven the SL but the research I’ve done suggests you’ll get better handling (and probably more efficiency) from the SL. If you tow or off-road, the LT is your best bet. If you don’t need durability beyond what the Scorpions provided, the SL is likely the way to go.
TLDR: The Toyo Open Country A/T III EVs are pricy but are the best-engineered tires I've driven. If your requirements are similar to mine, put them on your shortlist.
The OEM Pirelli Scorpions that came on my Gen 1 R1S Quad were at 15k miles. They got noisy and then the rear passenger rubber...
Thanks! I have the 8’ awning to shade a family of four. I mounted it to three crossbars. It’s very sturdy. But the three crossbars aren’t vertically aligned so it required some leveling with washers. I keep meaning to make a post about that but haven’t yet…
This past weekend, we packed the twins, their teen friend, two adults, a dog, and gear and provisions enough for two days of camping into our Gen 1 R1S. We drove 240 miles round trip to Sparrow Bend River Retreat west of San Antonio, TX. (Great spot. Highly recommended.) We hauled gear in our...
It’s extremely song-dependent because it’s extremely artist and engineer dependent. The music industry is just starting to learn how to use immersive audio to improve music. I’d say most mixing engineers haven’t gotten it down yet, but they’re working through it.
A good analogy is the use of 3D...
If anyone in the Austin area is willing to let me measure their Gen 2 Premium, I can analyze the fade/balance issue and recommend settings. Might help until the next OTA, but it’s hard to predict what will change.
Thanks for the detailed response, particularly about the noise, which is a big factor for me. Others will definitely benefit from it. I'm surprised to hear the Outpost nATs corner better than the stock Pirellis 21". Maybe because of the stiffer sidewall?
I had Nitto Ridge Grapplers LT...
@R1Thor Love the testing, analysis, and data-driven decision making. It's very cool to have engineers lend their expertise to this forum's benefit. I added an EveryAmp filter to my Amazon cart. Thank you!
