Drive cam always records, it's just you can't see the 24/7 recordings from the infotainment. Just take the USB and plug it into your phone/computer and the recording will be there.

If this happened to me I'd be okay with it. Already crashed a Rivian loaner vehicle so we'd be even now. :CWL:

Just get an adapter and use the mobile charger that comes with the Rivian. No rewiring needed. This one says for EV use: https://www.amazon.com/Fullsky-FC-EV10345-Adapter-10-30P-Charging/dp/B09NYBX5JT You'll just need to throttle down the amperage on the energy screen on the infotainment system.

What I don't understand is with traction control off, why aren't all 4 tires just doing a burnout? Driver perfectly feathering the throttle to the point of no slipping?

Just an FYI even with trucks configured with the spare, it may not have the spare until Rivian fixes their supplier issues. Rivian is delivering many vehicles without them separately as IOUs.

Do you absolutely need to go through Rivian for your insurance? You can get quotes from many agencies online. I don't think anybody here is going to be able to tell you the difference, as each quote is based on location, credit history, age, vehicle cost, etc.
