Sure! I found the Meridian system to be strong, with a nice fullness and good control over the highs and lows. In the Range Rover at least you could choose between three...modes, I guess? Meridian, Dolby, and DTS. I almost always stuck with Meridian.
It wasn’t quite as crisp in the highs as the...
Ooooooooo. I had the upgraded Meridian audio in my Range Rover. That was a dope af system.
If the Rivian system is anywhere near that system, I’ll be a happy camper
Perhaps the base surround sound system is Bose? Or maybe Bose is doing the Elevation stuff. I know they’ve had good reviews from like the Panaray system in upper-trim Cadillacs
Or it’s just a random design that happens to look like Bose ?‍♂️ Kinda low-res video, and a bit old too
You MONSTER
But also, I’m reasonably certain that the HUD (if there is one) will be able to be turned on/off. I’ve had two cars with HUDs so far, and both of them had the option to turn it off entirely. So you should be good
I asked about this very thing like a month ago. The CS rep told me that “Information about additional driver assistance options will be available later”
Sooooo.....maybe?
When I bought my Volvo the dealership offered a Protection Package that included PPF. It was only for the front/hood and the wheel arches, but definitely better than nothing.
Not quite an “OEM” install, but it shows that Rivian could totally offer factory-installed PPF
Wooooo, WA and no children whatsoever! Well, human children anyways. Got two 120+lbs beasts that I haul around. So hopefully the seats do in fact fold very nearly flat
To the first point: It’s totally ok to hope that they’ll add (not keep, since they never had any to begin with) physical buttons, but just know that they 100% won’t. Ain’t gonna happen. No way, no how.
BUT, to the second point, you’re in luck! The windshield wipers are controlled from a stalk...
What, like where you can have the seat remember different configurations for different drivers?
I would be SUPER surprised if a vehicle at this price point didn’t have memory seats. Even like 25K econoboxes have memory seats these days
Everyone who’s hoping that Rivian will avoid an all-touchscreen approach......
Unless I’m missing something, the vehicles as we’ve seen them are mostly production-spec. And there’s still no physical buttons other than the steering wheel ones.
So unless they redesign the entire dashboard...
Tbh, when I first read that the 400+ pack was more or less gone from the R1S (at least for the foreseeable future), my gut reaction was “Well F that. I wanted the MAX PACK”
But in the few weeks since, I’ve sorta sat on it, and realised that 300+, be that a little over 300 or a lot over, is...
Understandable.
I feel like where I live is just a sea of white and grey and black cars, and I wanna do my part to liven things up a bit with a giant blue SUV haha.
