I’m just happy they’re tackling the auto-levelling issue head on rather than just the previously mentioned “incremental improvements with each OTA”
As I’m heading up to Canada soon, I was searching for a way to change the speedometer to kmh/kph, and discovered that you can’t.
So, new request for the next OTA, let us switch the truck over to metric! Or at least have it do it automatically when we cross the border
I had never noticed that issue tbh. But as of this morning (I got the update yesterday) the vent was closed when I got in the truck, but opened up immediately as soon as I put my foot on the brake to “wake up” the truck
I haven’t really researched the relevant federal regulations, but perhaps there are different decibel thresholds for the pedestrian warning noise in Drive vs Reverse
It’s not available to the public yet. Employees always get early access to beta test the OTA updates. The general rollout will probably be in a week or two
Oooooooo I thought of another one
APPS
Like, I’m not saying you have to build a gaming computer into the car’s infotainment system (Tesla) but could we at least have like….Netflix? YouTube? Etc?
I’ve been using Spotify Premium in my truck since mid-March. Haven’t had any unusual activity on the account, and wasn’t affected by the lock-out issue either.
I don't use Amazon Music, so can't speak to that. But I will say that the sensitivity of Alexa to the "wake word" needs to be turned wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down. Anything that even vaguely sounds like Alexa (she's been triggered by me saying Lexus, let us, Alex, excess, etc) sets her off, and it's...
At first I thought it was a visual warning that GearGuard is in (Teslas in Sentry Mode will flash their lights if you get too close) but since it still does it even when GearGuard is off, I’m out of ideas
I only started noticing it after the first update I received (whatever was before .15) but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t happening before ?‍♂️
I’ve also not bothered CS or the service people, since it doesn’t really seem to be a problem. More just a quirk, I suppose
Just what it says on the tin. For reasons unknown, the outermost sections of the rear lightbar/taillights will occasionally flash while the truck is parked. This happens both at home (when GearGuard is off) and away from home (when GearGuard is on)
It isn’t really a problem or anything, I’m...
They roll out slowly. Nobody knows the exact schedule for the OTAs except Rivian, unfortunately, so we all just have to sit tight and wait
And no, there’s currently no known way to manually trigger an update
Funky, but not surprising. The proximity unlock is......temperamental. We have a tiny garage that only just fits the R1T and my partner's RS5. Every time we go to take the Audi, I have to walk by the R1T and just about every time, it unlocks (sometimes twice). So I welcome this mode, since I...
I assume the idea is that if your truck is consistently parked outside, it’s probably not close enough to your phone to accidentally lock/unlock, so you wouldn’t need to turn this mode on
Best I can tell, the roll-out for their OTAs takes a while. So it might be out for a small number of vehicles, and the rest of us will get it over the coming weeks
