In the Silverado EV towing test at TFL, they drove roughly 4 hours and depleted just under 200kwh. So consumption was around 50kw constant. That's quite below the 130kw (and 190kw peak?) of the generator. I don't think it will be screaming.
As others have mentioned it will keep a good...
OK, just back from the SC (well, future SC!).
It was definitely quiet. Only one pickup was parked there already. I could not see activity inside.
The area inside was fairly empty. See pics below.
As I was going to leave, another vehicle arrived and the person asked me if I was working for...
Just saw in another thread someone selling a R1T dual performance + max pack.
The last picture shows the EPA consumption figures. 91 MPGe in city and 77 MPGe in the highway.
I couldn't find this configuration on the EPA website, but a R1T dual performance + large pack shows 82 city and 74...
Chevrolet claims 100mi range in 10mins. Truck unloaded of course.
That was for the initial (and still true for the RST) 400mi total range.
So 25% of charge, presumably at low SOC, in 10 mins. I would guess this is a 10-35% charge.
Given the approximate pack size, 25% would translate to...
You're lucky. Mine went from "Processing estimate" (since April) to Oct-Dec 2024.
I'll see what becomes available first, but it's becoming less and less likely to be the Rivian.
The update to the timeline was pushed back. My timeline is still saying "Processing estimate".
Yes it was an email which I just can't find at the moment (must have deleted it). It was saying something like,
"Any changes to your configuration ...(forgot the words here)... will be reflected in...
Happy Canada Day!
Considering that the service center location is not even known in Quebec, and the one in Ontario doesn't see much progress (unless I missed some posts), I'm extremely pessimistic about any deliveries before 2024.
The bright side is we will know more about the dual motor...
Just a question of time before the other manufacturers follow suit.
Hopefully that will include Rivian, such that when I get my R1S, maybe in late 2024, it already has the Tesla plug.
Processing estimate, and it will remain like that until the "next scheduled refresh in July" (as per the email wording).
Looks like Rivian still has no plans for opening a service center in my province.
At this rate my reservations for the Silverado EV and Fisker Ocean might arrive first.
I just cancelled my order for a Lucid yesterday, after learning that standard DreamDrive doesn't have highway assist.
Pricing is definitely an issue. My R1S reservation is actually at 103,000$ (Canadian). My Lucid reservation, the cheapest Air Pure but with AWD and the upgraded sound system...
Mine also updated to oct-dec 2023.
And surprisingly I see lots of people in Ontario also pushed to these same dates, despite their service center being on the map.
Here's one link about this,

I personally don't believe this "software not ready" explanation. I think they just don't have the battery back supplies to start delivering what will be, IMHO...
