Still nothing in Quebec, despite being the province with the largest number of EVs.
I'd be curious to know the number of reservations for R1T/S by province. Maybe there's just a handful of us in the province wanting a Rivian and so we're at the bottom of the priorities...
Got the same email, and yet I'm in the province of Quebec which is the California of Canada. Doesn't make sense that they would delay so much here.
I'll be patient, but if something else comes first I'll just cancel the R1S.
Just wondering what's your new date. Here's what I received by email,
The delivery window estimate in your Account has been temporarily set to “Processing new estimate” as we finalize plans for when we’ll have a Service Center in your area. We plan to update your Account with a delivery window...
Here in the province of Quebec the winter tires are mandatory in the winter. So it means the truck/suv could not be used for several months in the year. That's kind of ridiculous.
The only option would be to find an alternative 20in wheel and matching winter tires.
I'm not expecting my R1S...
Exciting times indeed!
How did you know about the location? Did you get an email from Rivian? And how long ago?
Here in Montreal still no news, although deliveries are set for the first half of 2023.
Just for comparison I got a call in June I believe from a manager at Lucid (I have a...
Well to be fair, the charging situation, for non Tesla EVs, sucks big time in the province of Quebec.
If you don't mind a paltry 100kw of power, there's the Circuit Electrique right off the Metropolitain on Lacordaire. I believe they have some 350kw stations in test but they're not in...
I live in Montreal so yes I’m interested!
I have actually seen a R1T in Zion national park a few weeks ago when I was on vacation but obviously could not sit in it.
Would be nice also to get a ride, depending of course on how many people show up. Might not be feasible is there’s 50 of us!
It's pretty much the only option for real fast charging, meaning 150kw and up.
There is a Electrify Canada here, supposedly the equivalent of EA in the US, but they are still lagging far behind EA (even taking into account the population difference).
Then after that you have local providers...
Just got my updated window: first half of 2023!
My own guess was Q2 2023 so I was spot on.
Remains to be seen now whether they can actually meet that deadline...
Looks like I would have lost that bet!
Still no news after 2 weeks.
From another thread it looks like we might know by July 1st. Ready to bet another one?!
I've got the first message, mentioning I would get another email within two weeks with the updated delivery window.
Lots of people seem to have gotten their update already (forums are on fire tonight!), but they all appear to be US customers.
Anybody from Canada got their new delivery window...
