I bought a second portable charger from the Ebay "a whole box of these portable Rivian chargers fell off the truck" sale for $150 and keep the other plugged in full time so it doesn't wear out the NEMA 14-50.
I hope with the Gear Guard update comes fixes for the last update. I get notifications of events with the motion cam, but then nothing shows up under recordings anymore.
The panels on the powered one vibrate and makes noise over uneven pavement and terrain....definitely go manual if you don't open or need the bed more than a few times a year. If I upgrade to gen 2 at some point, definitely going manual.
I'm back to just using bluetooth. Lol. Also, even after hard resets, the system is laaaaggy. I also think Connect + has messed up some things, somehow. My signal has been garbage since that rollout.
The last time I complained loudly to the Austin service center, they allowed me to drive two different loaners. One had 2000 miles and was nice and tight and no play. The second one had 6000 miles and was a little looser but no clunking. But even I have new hubs and half shafts and still...
Some of the band aids have helped, but to me it’s still there but hasn’t gotten worse. Luckily there is 8 yrs, 150k miles for me to keep nagging for a fix. ? I plan on upgrading or trading for a Gen 2 long before that anyway.
Man, I was on the fence for a long time, but....I really want CarPlay. LOL. Or, Rivian needs to hire the Orkin man, cuz the bugs the last few updates....ugh.
Anyone else getting all the new feature update highlights from two updates ago displaying on the main screen again? This last update was simply hot garbage. Apple Music worked right for 1 week, Amazon Music no longer works with her or at all, and since Connect + started the LTE signal has been...
Well, I think the sub-frame is another thing I need to have checked. When I put in for my 15,000 mile service, they stated I would need to bring it in to get it up on the rack, but others have had their checkups via mobile. So maybe early VINs are all getting the sub-frame looked at closely.
Only thing that did for me was get rid of the clicking noises at low speed getting on/off accelerator. Occasional clunking never left.
I'm also thinking it may not be the shafts/motor, etc at all but rather play in the shock tower.
I’ve had shafts, hubs, and two washer treatments. I’d say it’s motor play if all that has been done. I’ve been living with it but it’s certainly annoying.
