Moved from our R1T to an R1S two weeks ago and based on this thread was nervous about driving experience. However, I don’t know if our T had issues or something but I find the R1S much smoother and a far better driving experience FWIW. T was vin 15xxx and S is 11xxx, so maybe recent...

A week ago was at a full EA station and despite a long line and the next person having their daughter and wife standing in the spot while he pulled over the car, a real piece of work in an EQS rolled up and started backing up directly at the wife...
Does anyone know if there is a difference within drive modes? E.g. would driving in conserve extend the time prior to getting limited regen since only 2 motors would be generating power?
Update - super smooth process. No issues. Just a quick look over and exchanged one set of Rivian keys for the other.
The one open question is what’s going to happen to my R1T’s manual tonneau which I never received but paid for. They weren’t sure on a refund or what so have to follow up on that…
Do hood guards prevent as many rocks from hitting the windshield? If so, I’d 100% buy that to avoid another windshield replacement (or at least decrease the chances)…
edit: I do agree I don’t love the look. But to avoid a $2K windshield cost and the associated hassle I’d do it.
You’re right. They could have saved more money! Could have pulled a Tesla and used smaller brakes but hid the change with a large yellow cover that looked like the old ones ?
What other cars do this? I thought Teslas at least stay locked while the car is locked.
I get that friendly logic for public chargers but when I’m in my driveway I don’t want anyone else to be able to come unplug me. At least should be a setting to toggle IMO.
Did this develop recently or did you maybe not notice it before?
When I got my R1T there was a dark, oily stain in the OC headliner. When I pointed it out I was told to file a ticket and they’d replace the headliner. I did that, however upon taking it into the SC all they did was spend 6+ hours...
Thanks for sharing that update. Seemed like a good idea for a business so that’s too bad.
I ended up running mine all winter without sensors and while the truck constantly showed an error on the driver screen there wasn’t any annoying beeping etc. Might try to track down some sensors before put...
How about it shows only while charging? If I'm driving whatever, but could be a fun way to connect with folks at chargers to share notes on common interests.
