  1. One pedal driving inconsistencies

First off, I dislike one pedal driving to begin with. However, I discovered this morning (on a 27 degree day) that it also changes how it enables regen braking when the battery is cold. On my 15 mile trip to the store for breakfast food, regen braking wasn’t working at all with a “battery too...
  2. 3 day-old R1S died on freeway.

Curious - do they extend your 7-day return window if it spends half of it in the shop?
  3. Anyone trade in R1T for R1S and regret it?

I’ve had both. For my use case, the S didn’t make the cut. The T is more unique and does “truck stuff”. The S was nice, but when I compared it to traditional SUVs, I didn’t think it was worth the trade off. I also found the gear tunnel in the T made up for the extra cargo capacity in the S...
  4. Would you try it? Thanksgiving + Family, R1T, NC>Florida 800 miles

I did a trip from CT to western PA in my R1T by myself. I got back from my trip and bought an ICE vehicle for family use. While the trip wasn't bad, the inconvenience (a number cited prior) would be miserable if I had more to manage or any sort of timeline requirement. Reality is the...
  5. How to reduce battery usage during parking with people inside

Unfortunately, No. This is why I personally wish it had an on/off option to change how a user engages with it. Currently, there is no way to "not engage" with it if you're in it.
  6. Exciting first look @ Rivian Lift System by DCE / Weistec!!

While the marketing material is great, what we want are the details! And pics - lots of pics. Subframe design, spacer Design, arms.. C’mon! Such a tease. Otherwise you’ll get lost in the news cycle. I noticed today that Icon won a Sema award for their Tundra suspension design…
  7. Exciting first look @ Rivian Lift System by DCE / Weistec!!

Appears to be a subframe drop in the rear along with bag spacers. New control arms up front with uniballs. Pretty standard for the off-road industry. I’m curious to see how this actually does off-road. It looks great!!
  8. Long Gear Shop shipping times

Apparently they can neither ship nor cancel my order.
  9. Long Gear Shop shipping times

I ended up canceling my floor mat order and ordering from LinerX instead. Ordered the mats a month ago and still no word on shipping. My guide was also unresponsive other than “no shipping label yet”. Shame as it was an easy $175 for Rivian.
  10. Manual Tonneau Cover now in Gear Shop

Well, I own one and I can assure you it does not. You have to remove it from the vehicle to get the third panel closest to the window up. On some of their larger trucks (F-150) it offers this feature.
  11. Manual Tonneau Cover now in Gear Shop

Clarification - the Lomax does not fold up against the back window. If you need full bed access, it has to be popped off.
  12. Long Gear Shop shipping times

My guide confirmed they still haven’t shipped. Waiting on someone to check on the backend. I noticed today the shop website seems different, harder to tell if they are in stock it seems.
  13. Shipping A/T Wheel/Tire Set?

If you call Tire Rack, they will sell you wheel shipping supplies. This is basically a set of round cardboard discs and some foam to pack between the cardboard and the wheels. You sandwich the wheels and use tape in a star pattern around them. I've shipped several this way and it works well...
  14. Garbage disposal eat my key

Adds to the ”adventure cred” of your fob. Well done!
  15. Long Gear Shop shipping times

Mine were ordered 9/16 and still haven’t shipped, though even current status says in stock. I reached out to my guide to see if she could find out more info. I’ve purchased parts at the SC prior, but I have no intention of driving 3hrs round trip to buy floor mats. Hopefully they ship them...
  16. Long Gear Shop shipping times

I still don’t have mine. Guess I will contact the gear shop team
  17. 22-ON Rivian R1T 4ft 6in Box (w/ OEM tonneau track) by Agricover

I do not believe Rivian has made a truck bed without the integrated rails at this point. And to your actual question - no. The Lomax cannot be fittted without the OE rails. It was designed to use those to attach to the bed. It is impossible to say how they would be able to attach it if no...
  18. 22-ON Rivian R1T 4ft 6in Box (w/ OEM tonneau track) by Agricover

along with needing to make the cover narrower to fit into the rails, and break it into multiple pieces so it’s manageable. unclear to me why someone would expect Lomax to change their design to replicate what Rivian, Interobang and TailLidz already makes.
