Not sure if someone said it but the motors have a fail safe point. I think they can’t endure speeds safely over x speed without increasing failure point exponentially.
Went from 2024 to July-December 2024.
White, green interior, 22”, underbody shield (I’ll likely remove this option) quad large.
The timing is excellent for me as that will be when we are most financially stable to make the purchase. Anything sooner would be tough.
Stick to Warm Showers and Couch Surfing where dirty hippies share personal space. People who can afford a Rivian are likely snob enough to not share it with someone outside of their bloodline.
That pays for a lot of hotel rooms. Efficiency must SUCK. PAYLOAD Probably also over the limit when you include two passengers (which count towards total payload).
Wish OP the best. While some of these are fairly minor, the interior falling out of the clips and other notable things are uncalled for. I suspect Rivian will continue to have these pains for another 12-18 months as they formulate a CRM tool, action plans, A3’s, and hire/retain the right staff...
I haven’t but I don’t get phantom braking in my MY and it runs super smooth in the rain now too. Asked me last year and it would be a different story. The recent iterations have been leaps and bounds better than initially when bought 9/21.
I have found the most recent update has smartened up...
Am I the only one who left the garage door close onto the cable? There’s a rubber seal at bottom of door so it’s not a lot of pressure. Plus you can modify your garage door closing force and distance if really needed. So far, no damage to the cable.
Yep. Interest rates going up, economy tanking including stock market. Going to be a long road to recovery. That’s my fear about Rivian. I’d Amazon cancels, they will be F’d. They need to diversify. And find way to improve quality and reduce pricing.
Understand the guy is not favored on this forum but that Kyle dude did a nice hands on review of current state. Quality appears nice and cabin looks comfortable for 4 people. Would never use rear seats. For sure smaller than R1S. LiDAR and Google HD will blow Driver+ out of the water. Won’t...
I’m hopeful that the use of Polestar SP2 platform will enhance reliability and build of the new 90 vs the repurposed 40. That’s what I’m banking on at least. Seems to be more reliable and cost effective than R1S.
EX90 is looking compelling. I spoke to dealer who confirmed they will sell at MSRP (no ADM). Given 3rd row isn’t needed, and it uses a test platform (polestar), seems like an excellent city/road trip car. Range or total power won’t be as impressive but we’re talking about an SUV, not a sports car.
if they changed Model X base model to 80k to hit the tax requirement, I’d place order immediately. I’m sure many others would as well. For Tesla, that may not be a good thing as they don’t care too much about selling those it seems. I’d be happy in a LR MX 5 seater. I love my MY and would be...
A spare 45k would buy a lightly used, kitted out jeep that would be useful for the half dozen times per year you travel off the pavement. I’ve said in other threads, this just isn’t a great vehicle for serious off roading. Weight alone is an issue, lack of lockers, small parts (tie rods). It’s...
