I should have been more clear; my interpretation was that the Chicago showroom location not becoming a Venice-like hub was a size constraint rather than an "ignore the flyover states" attitude. I've never been inside the joint, only spied on trucks in the lot but if they hold an event there...
Insights from my delivery guide 2 weeks ago was that the lounge area was for owners to use while they wait for repairs, etc. The then current Rivian thinking is that the Chicago showroom won't likely ever be a destination like the hub space in Venice, CA but it was implied that a similar hub...
Having the same random TPMS issue. 1st trip from Madison to Chicago & back for work and it popped up both drives. Self cleared and came back 2 or 3 times on the way down and popped on the way home but went away at some point that I didn't notice. Thinking I will call in a ticket.
All of that just happened to me an hour ago when my R1T was delivered. Very odd feeling just walking away. This last work call can’t wrap up fast enough….
Has this location opened up for general Rivian charging? Any words on whether a lounge is/will be available to wait in whilst charging? I drive to Chicago twice a month and would love to top up to 70% before heading back north. Thanks!
Hilarious, same thing happening to me. Guide call on a Friday and I left for Australia on Saturday. Been working through the 8 steps with a 14 hour time difference but it’s all working out. Expecting delivery on 5/31
Have an email convo going with Madison Graphics for some PPF for my eventual truck and they mentioned they have already done an R1T. I’ve seen 2 around town (Blue and LG). Any chance the owner of the PPF’d truck is on here?
Guide call went well, signed the PBA. Guidance is 4-8 weeks but expectation is much s00ner than that. Adam (Guide) was great to talk to and I'm expecting an email anytime with word that a truck is coming down the line for me. Added bonus, flying to Australia tomorrow for 2 weeks so an R1T...
Guide contact today. R1T, El Cap, 20", live in WI but been playing around with addresses in Chicago and Jacksonville. Not sure what, if anything I did got their attention. Call scheduled for Friday.
Stopped by on my way into the office; 5 R1Ts, mix of El Cap and LG.
Nice little set up they potentially have here. I'm envisioning driving to Chicago, stopping by for a top off charge and working from the cafe onsite for an hour or two before heading into the Loop.

Really glad to see this post and I'll be tracking this going forward. Given production constraints at Rivian I'm unsure if we will even have the ability to buy a second set of wheels in the next couple of years and having a verified alternative will be great to have. Thanks for digging into...
I'm still in. Not seeing any real alternatives that interest me and another 1+ year wait for the Silverado EV doesn't work. I will be paying particular attention to the earnings call next week but am hopeful this moves up my date from 4Q to 3Q, if not sooner
Saw a few stories around adaptive headlights pop up today. An example: https://www.axios.com/cars-smart-headlights-nhtsa-6686a7aa-ee4a-4fa4-a764-ccb58b96d40d.html
Do Rivian headlights have the hardware to do this built-in with enablement merely an OTA update away?
