Mostly flat travel around southeastern PA area. Always make sure my tires are 48 psi cold and 50 to 51 psi hot. My factory alignment seems to be pretty good. Probably 40% highway and 60% local road travels. About 75% all purpose and 25% sport mode. I've used the brakes like 5 times. Gradual...
Just rough data:
Over 10k miles on stock 21s and averaged 2.77 per Rivian's trip meter.
Over 1500 miles on AW 20" rims with ms/2 60s (same overall size as 21s) average of 2.51 on rivian trip meter.
I am expecting the 20" ms/2s to be better than 21" stock efficiency as they are close to the...
Had 21" stock tires. Had no issues and was on pace for about 25k miles before needing replacement.
Bought 20" rims and put on AS tires the same size as the 21" tires. No difference in ride or efficiency. Now can put on offroad tires when needed.
Have put around 1000 miles now on the ms/2s.
Went from 21" stock pirelli to 20" ms/2s with 275/60 to keep the stock 33" overall diameter of the 21s.
I have not experienced handling issues or otherwise to date in spirited driving or highway cruising.
Efficiency seems to be the same or better...
Thought someone shared the agreement here - if I remember correctly, the buyout terms were not favorable in that prepaying did not forgo the obligations of the full cost of the original term
Didn't see opportunity cost factored in...
If lease to buy is same outlay as buying upfront, but you can keep 60k+ cash with leasing... Put that 60k+ in 5.5% 13 week tbills and keep rolling over during the lease duration, what's the math then?
The factory sub area has what appears to be vented slits under the rear passenger seat area. Are those usable for the air movement? (if the slits are real and functional)
Please find a used set (4) of OEM 21" road wheels with Pirelli tires.
The set of wheels, tires, factory TPMS, and Rivian center caps are located west of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
The set includes the aerodynamic wheel covers (not pictured, but included) - aero covers were removed within...
Don't think a test like this has occurred. Hard to account for wind and traffic and such to control the variables and pinpoint how much height is a factor. Tradeoffs always exist - tire wear may be one of them as things like camber change with the heights.
