It's not realistic to expect Rivian to be anywhere in the top half for build quality/service/bugs for the foreseeable future. It takes many years to dial things in.
That's not a dig on Rivian, just the reality of the industry. If reliability is one of your main metrics, you shouldn't be looking...
Cramped interior in the Taycan? You mean the backseat? The front seats are incredibly comfortable and not really more cramped than the Rivian, just lower down. The front seats in the Rivian aren't nearly as roomy as similar trucks or large suvs, honestly.
You can get a Cross Turismo at MSRP...
I know the feeling you describe, the response wasn't as snappy as my Taycan. The pedal definitely has some deadzone and isn't very precise. It's not terrible, it's just not very sporty.
It definitely isn't for safety, that's an odd thought. How would a delay and unexpectedly getting a surge of...
Did you overhype yourself? Probably. But the reviews claiming the Rivian is something it's not didn't help either.
The R1T is a really solid vehicle. It's a solid choice among pickups (or larger SUVs when considering the R1S) but it's not really a "special" vehicle when you drive it.
The...
Good luck getting your Rivian serviced if you do this. Also tend to agree with the above, there's a difference between adding a physical modification to a vehicle and bypassing security features to mess with software.
It's a bad idea.
It's not very impressive in person. It certainly looks fine, but nothing about it stands out from other pickups (other than the front). I've had a few drive by where it took me a couple of seconds to realize it was a Rivian.
Again, it's a nice looking truck but it's nothing special. Almost...
The 2nd person that watched and pretended nothing happened is the best.
I'm not surprised by the initial douchebag but who sees it happen and doesn't take a photo of the license plate & leave a note?
What a bizarre question, I'm not surprised CS was confused.
Your delivery will be when your delivery is. Your timing of a mobile drive has nothing to do with it.
People slam Rivian CS but let's stop wasting their time and maybe they can do better when they get legitimate questions.
I'm sorry...
Changing your delivery address can delay your order and potentially cause your reservation to be canceled if they feel you did so to cheat the system. Obviously if you've actually moved it's one thing but you should read the fine print on the preorder agreement.
Not to mention Seattle is...
Sorry to hear about your troubles, OP, and just ignore the "Rivian can do no wrong" crowd on here.
Chargers are unfortunately quite inconsistent and we've seen plenty of issues with R1Ts so far. The thing I'd tell someone considering a Rivian is to be prepared for significant issues with both...
Once again, it's not allowed and the reservation would be canceled by Rivian. Guides have been instructed to look into changes of name, etc.. that indicate a swap and deny the pre-order.
You'd have to have the person buy the car and then sell it to you, at which point the starting price is $30k...
R1Ts are still selling to private buyers for $120k plus. It's only auction demand that has died down, there are plenty of serious buyers out there still.
Friend had multiple 120k offers within 24 hours last week and sold for 130. People don't like the hassle of vehicle auctions.
Considering they're now pushing day 1 RIS LE deliveries to 2023, I doubt you'll see a max pack before 2024, if ever.
I still expect Rivian to cancel the max pack entirely, but they know when they do they'll lose preorders.
Wow, that's.. bizarre. Tell your guide you've offered payment and they have 5 days to accept it, or you'll reasonably assume they've decided to gift it to you.
I think we'll see a few. I anticipate it might be similar to the R1T, where we saw tens of trucks delivered at first and it ramped up a few months later. They'll want to report R1S production/customer sales for end of year.
